Since most people are clearly unhappy with the idea of MK's upcoming installment, then maybe Midway should consider finishing something that they started. It would probably be a smart move on their part since the bios proved to please fans.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Midway will not backtrack. They gave up on the bios and it's going to stay that way. They are completely focusing on MK vs DC now.
We can only rely on MK vs DC or later games to clear up the plot for us, the MK:A bios are dead and will not be resurrected.

But my point is that they SHOULD be brought back. I'm sure enough fan demand would resurrect the idea.

What's really sad is they didn't have time to finish the armageddon bios cause they were making this silly idea up for a game. I mean right now even having the rest of the armageddon bios would be better then this nonsense new game there making.

Even if the next game was the true MK8 you have no right to make the previous game suffer for it. You should alway complete the game you are making for the fans pleasure.

I think you can compare Midway's attitude to that of 'abandoning a sinking ship'.
MK:A was a flop, Midway knows it, Boon knows it, the fans know it. Still sold an impressive amount though =P

But MK:A actually did pretty good.  Granted it wasnt like Deception's premium, it was still awesome and fans all over were having fun with the Kreate a Karacter mode.
Armageddon was nice. Not perfect, but then again, which title was?
And I gave up with the bios thing too. Theres no sign anyones about to go back and finish those up. Theres so much left.
PS:
The captain needs to sink with the ship honorably.

Whoops I meant "sold an impressive amount" not sound. >_<
Yeah, MK was a commercial success, but in terms of the actual game itself, I'd say it was below-par of previous installments.

For most part, online petitions are as useless as tits on a bull. If Boon and Co really cared about fans thoughts, then they would have waited on MK vs DC till after we got our MK8.

A rule, no. But it's extremely unlikely. The only way it'd happen is if Vogel clubbed Boon like a seal and took over, then we could have a chance.
