Ok guys, I went to see Saw IV opening night and I just thought I'd share my thoughts with you on it. The movie itself was a little confusing up until I learned when they set it. It's set around when the events of Saw III took place and it pans back and forth between the past and present. The traps were freaking awesome.  The movie is centered around Commander Rigg, the only person untouched by Jigsaw and he's suddenly thrown into a timed game. 90 minutes to complete three tasks or face the consequences. I was, however, disappointed with the fact that the mystery of Dr. Gordon's survival is still unrevealed. Overall, I give this movie a 7.5 out of 10. The ending, to me, was completely shocking. Detective Hoffman as the new Jigsaw?! Wtf?! It was perfect, but something told me that he was going to become the new Jigsaw and I quote him from Saw III after he said what happened to Troy.

The series became lackluster after Saw II in my opinion. Less on creative traps and suspence, more on gore for the teens. The typical horror movie approach these days, sadly.
