I was never really a Kang fan, but he has sparked a little interest in me since he returned in MK:D. I'd like them to go further with the undead Kang idea. Bringing him back to life, however, would just spoil whatever charm he had, and make him into a joke.

I like Sheeva.
Johnny Cage is always welcomed with me I fuckin love him lol
But I hate the way he has been made into a komplete joke.
In my opinion the Kharacters that must never leave MK are:
Scorpion
Sub-Zero
Shang Tsung
Shao Kahn
Raiden
Those are all Key Players.
Quan Chi is badass but he doesn't have that sinister "Never be gone" that Shang Tsung has. Its like if he was to never appear again it would ruin the game a bit for me.
If Cervantes was gone from Soul Calibur and Heihachi was gone from Tekken it would be the same.
One thing I would like to see is the reappearance (but technically first appearance) of the Great Kung Lao. Scare the fuck out of Shang Tsung!
Scare him so much we get "Big Trouble In Little China" Tsung back!

Not really sure if that would play out well.
The Great Kung Lao's death is what started the entire franchise, so to speak. His return would kind of defeat the purpose of Liu Kang winning the tournament.
But anyway, I would like to see Mokap come back and be taken seriously. He always seemed, to me, like one of those people no one ever notices, but Cage and Raiden see a champion in him, or whatever. I feel Mokap could be come a great warrior if the MKTeam would give him a decent story. Hell, I already have.

I don't think it would ruin the story or the point of Kang winning Mortal Kombat. Kang had to win because Earthrealm was on the brink of invasion.The Great Kung Lao had already died years ago and seeing a vanquished foe return for a battle is brilliant. They did it with Onaga why not GKL? It a little like saying Onaga's return ruined the point of Kahn kontrolling Outworld or Shinnok in MK4 ruined the point of the Elder Gods banishing him.
You have to admit going in depth with these storylines are money makers.
Id love to see em all dude lol

Didn't Shang Tsung steal the Great Kung Lao's soul when Goro defeated him?
I think I remember something like that. If it is the case seeing as his soul is in Shang Tsung they could use that to have him return. Stranger things have happened in the MK universe.

No, no, and no some more. Mokap should be destroyed and forgotten about, just like Stryker, Kobra and the other unwanteds. He was a joke, and a bad one at that. I don't think I could really get behind him as a believable character.

Yeah know you've got the right mindset here.
Could be that Tsung was so drained after his encounter with Blaze that the Stronger souls could escape from him, and whos stronger than The Great Kung Lao in that respect?
Oh and DeathRider is right about Mokap......sucked.....will always suck lol

Of course we can.
We just have to take what we have and use it. For example:
Mokap has these special moves that involve a great amount of white light. When he kicks up and back, it light looks kind of like a flower, better yet, a lotus. His abilities exist because he is a descendent - though quite distant - of people who share that same power, Lotus Light. That same group of people were the ones who helped Raiden form the White Lotus society. Though it was believed Liu Kang was a descendent of these people, he is not. Infact, Mokap and Kung Lao are the only descendents left.
See? It could work. I guess.

Mokap has a lot of potential because we barely know anything about him. It opens up doors for a plethera of opportunities.

I've taken a real shine to the cyber-ninjas lately. Especially Sektor. I'd love to see him survive, as he's never really got a chance to strut his stuff since MK3. I know he was in MK:A, but then again, so was everyone else. It was too much of a clusterfuck to really determine any character specific storylines.
I'd like to see Rain reappear too. He's never gotten a real chance to shine either, in my opinion.
