The Topic is simple...Who are your favorite characters from Mortal Kombat 4 to Mortal Kombat: Armageddon?
Existing Characters from MK1 to MK Trilogy don't count. Neither do the secret characters or boss characters in those games. I'd also like to know why you like them but that isn't really required. So I'll start:
Mortal Kombat 4:
Kai
Quan-Chi
Tanya (I liked her better when she was in Deception)
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
Kenshi
Frost (She should've died at the end of MKDA,No offense Frost Fans)
Nitara (I think she was the only new female who had that Mortal Kombat look)
Mortal Kombat: Deception
Ashrah (If they just wouldn't make her look like female Raiden)
Havik
Hotaru (I liked the thought of This regal looking guy actually on the side of evil)

Favourite characters from post-MKT:
Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero
-Sareena
Mortal Kombat 4
-Tanya (not an overall favourite character, but favourite new character in this game)
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
-Frost
-Li Mei
Mortal Kombat: Deception
-Kira
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
-Taven
-Daegon
-Orin
-Caro
Bo Rai Cho's story is great but I never play the character. Hotatu also has a pretty interesting story and a cool alternate costume, but I wouldn't call him a favourite new character. The majority of my favourite characters are ones from the MK1-MKT era. Most of the new characters from later games never impressed me that much, though pretty much every new character introduced in MK:AR was fantastic. I really hope the MK8 character roster will only be characters introduced as late as MKT, though seeing post-MKT characters in the backgrounds of levels is more than welcome.

Quan Chi and Frost were great, but Quan Chi was obviously the best - you know he's badass. In MK4 his teleport stomp was his best move (anti-jump), and the green skull that was as big as himself.

Mythologies- has to be Sareena that character has alot going for her
MK4-Tanya hate the bitch but love the story need to see her more often
MKDA-Kenshi another nice character, Frost another bitch I love to hate, Li Mei a classic tragic character just not on the scale of Smoke.
MKD- Hotaru a great antagonist with the twist that he fights for evil while enforcing order, which screws with alot of people's worldviews considering how many people equate order with good.
I would like to see more good quality female characters in future games
