I know that there is a lot of excitement in the air with the new MK on its way and all, but IGN has put up a pitiful unofficial top 10 fatality list. I'm sure we could do a lot better here or at least show a bit of guidance to the lost.

Wow, that list was pretty lame. They didn't even mention which game each fatality was from. If you wanna see a good list, you go check out ScrewAttack's Top 10 Fatalities on Gametrailers.com.
As for me:
10. Jax's Head Clap (MK2/MK4)
9. Kung Lao's Hat Slice (MK2)
8. Johnny Cage's Torso Rip (MK2)
7. Quan Chi's Leg Beat (MK4)
6. Sindel's Screamer (UMK3)
5. Shao Khan's Golf Swing (MKD)
4. Liu Kang's Dragon (MK2)
3. Mileena's Head Biter (MKD)
2. Scorpion's Toasty (Gotta love this one)
Which leaves #1 with Sub-Zero's Head+Spine Rip. Yeah, I'm sure a lot of other players would have this as #1, but dammit, it's one of the great original.

yeah thats better (good list). Sub-zero's spine rip seems to be unanimous, which i totally agree with, actually now that i'm running through the fatalities in my head, Sub-zero has always had some pretty cool ones.
Here is mine
10. Liu Kang's human flame (MK3/ UMK3)
9. Reptile's invisible kill (MK2)
8. Shang Tsung's soul drain (MK2)
7. Kano's skeletal pull (MK3)
6. Kung Lao's hat slice (MK2)
5. Scorpion's toasty (MK1)
4. Liu Kang's dragon (MK2)
3. Scorpion's hell raiser (UMK3)
2. Sheeva's skinner (MK3/ UMK3)
1. Sub- Zero's spine rip (MK1) -simple yet brutal
I don't think stage fatalities should be counted here, because you could actually make a top ten list of stage fatalities on its own. I would like to have got Jade's running body slice from MKD in there...oh well choices, choices.
