i say we have a volunteer force to defend the site from assholes like the notorious TheFetcher. ( i PMed him to shut up and leave the site and all i got was an insult to my and the entire site's sexuality) I would like to start a patrol so if the grandmaster and/or moderators are gone on a bussiness trip or something we have defenders to watch the site
just a suggestion.

Thats kind of what the sages do, along with any other good member. But even then, the only two people with banning power is TMK and Shoe. THe board mods can lock the topics, but the only mod I know of is Chibi, and she does what she can. Really, i think we just need maybe two more mods, and that could help som of that.

Gambid as well is a mod, but not what you'd consider...an active mod. Yes, if Total's not there, there's always Chibi. Total can hire more mods if he feels it necessary though you'll find we have few trolls compared to other sites, and they're delt with in no more than a few hours. It's all that spam we can't control!
The Sages can be considered a 'volunteer force' if you wish. You'll find me, VainZipper, Sub Sandwich and Frogger always on the case.
As well you may consider TheFucker necessary for ban immediately though at first he was only flaming, which isn't as large of a threat as the insult posts later on. He was only complaining that the MK games weren't what they used to be in a sense. It wasn't until he claimed we bent over for Boon 'til he crossed the line, in which his ban was instantly organized.

I have to agree with |{rave that the Sages are pretty much the volunteer force to which you refer, as well as his comment that, compared to other sites, we really don't have a lot of trolls or flamers here. Even during the great Forum Wars of old (for those who were here during the days of MK - Realm of Khaos and all the crap that spawned after Hydro created it), this site was relatively unaffected compared to most, and it's only in extreme cases like that where you need a lot more moderators.
I agree that the lack of active moderators here is somewhat of an issue, but I don't think that users banding together against trolls and spammers is going to solve anything. It would more likely result it normally-decent members flaming the trolls who come onto this site, this becoming equally as bad.
I think Chibihana and TMK are doing a good job moderating this place considering the massive number of members there are and numerous new posts every day, most of which is repetitive. Just know that the Sages are also on patrol of this place and keeping an eye out for other would-be troublemakers.
Big brother's watching you.

it's not that im questioning them. It's just sometimes i get agrevvated with people who say stupid things like midway is racist just because they thought all male ninja's were white. And i am very critical to myself and others, like when i lost to MK i made that topic in classic mk about how i was the worst mk player ever, so im just a little over protective of my new home. that's all.

Dear Arcadamious,
if you´d know me well, you´d realize that I use smilies very often, because I´m trying to be friendly and not to take everything so much seriously. The only case, when I do NOT use smilies is when I´m upset (which I would be, if I´d really think they are racist). But I used this " " after the ´racists´ post, which means I have really NEVER THOUGHT AND NEVER WILL think they´re racists (for ex. because they made Jade beautifully tanned).

That´s ok. I just wished to settle this. In fact, I would never play any game if I´d really think it´s racist or discriminating any group of people.
And MK is just not that case
