Tom Jane >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dolph Lundgren
I have a sick feeling that, like all comic book movies, the second one will flop.

I think it might be pretty good, its suppose to be alot more dark and gritty, like the punisher actually is. I like both the punisher movies, old and new
And having a real villan from the comic is pretty cool. But I hear ya on the comic book movie thing, most have sucked big time. _________________

I have a strange feeling, for this movie and none other, that the sequel...will be really good. Actually I'll also see Fantastic Four 2 but ONLY because of the Silver Surfer. That's not the point...
...I thought both versions were great, I have no preference. I thought Travolta was an awesome villain story-oriented or not. I'm not sure if whoever plays Jigsaw will meet up with him even halfway, but I still really want to see this movie, it's a comic movie that had dialogue I actually liked (for the most part), so hopefully they stick to the same writer if not better.
As for being a Punisher comic fan I'll read anything Garth Ennis writes, his stories are unbelievable. The story of the Punisher is just freakin' awesome and if they don't torture the comic's story in the movie then it should prove to be of the few best Marvel movies I've ever seen (not saying too much). _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

I've only seen the recent one, but I thought it was a little cheesy in a few scenes so I have my doubts on this sequel. I just don't think it will make the cut, as well as the Fantastic 4 sequel. No offense, Krave, but the first one wasn't all that impressive. I mean that the only thing that interested me was Dr. Doom's abilities and that was it. I go by a familiar quote from "Scream 2", "Oh please by definition alone they're inferior films". Yes, that movie was stupid and all, but that's besides the point. Here are my reasons: First off, a lot of them are done by different directors. A lot of sequels have different directors instead of the guy who made the original and these new directors kill it. These directors are relatively new and have absolutely no idea what the hell they are doing. The only couple, in my opinion, who didn't kill the buzz on a movie are Darren Lynn Bousman, director of Saw II, Saw III and Saw IV, the most recent edition to the series, and Quentin Tarantino, with the exception of the Hostel movies. Kill Bill Volumes I and II were classics. Second, the actors they bring in are low-budget and have absolutely no talent in acting whatsoever. Some of the actors that the producers bring in are just getting their career started and a sequel, or a third movie, if there is one, is not the place for a low-budget actor. These guys just completely ruin the movie. Third, the storyline will completely bite, or is ruined by reasons 1 and 2. If you look a lot of movie sequels that were made, besides a few that have been instantly called classics like The Godfather series, Star Wars Saga, only Episodes III through VI, a few of the Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street movies, and the Die Hard movies, you'll see that either the actors or the storyline completely killed the movie. For example, look at the movie AVP 2, the war between Predator and Alien ended and now they're making a sequel. Another sequel for the scrap pile. Also, the movie Hostel 2 is due to come out later this year. The first one was a joke, especially after I heard that people had heartattacks and strokes in the movie theater. It wasn't even that great. Yeah, the idea of a kill for pleasure business was a good idea, but Tarantino did a bad job with this film. The point is that a lot of sequels just don't make the cut and that's what I think about the Punisher sequel, no offense intended for anyone. Feel free to contradict me. In fact, I'm looking for contradiction here. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality: 11 (Ultimate Fatality)

I actually was ultimately unsatisfied with Fantastic Four, and it was either the worst or second to worst comic movie I have ever seen. The second will have the Silver Surfer, thus my reason for watching at all.
Anyways, I understand statistically most sequels flop and I agree with that regularly. Punisher 2 on the other hand just sounds bad-ass. If you've read the Punisher comics you know the story is intriguing with intensity, anger, passion, and action. Should they stick to one of the good short series books that doesn't do something ridiculously crazy like kill off someone that never died then it can't go wrong. If they pull off from the story set out and start all new then all I can say is that it once had potential.
I personally doubt it, I have a feeling it will be, incredible. _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

WHAT?! Travolta was a whiny little bitch in that movie. All he did was moan that his goons failed, and in the one single attempt to hurt Castle personally, he didn't even get a shot off. A better villain would've had finally tried to take down Castle himself, and then at least put up some sort of fight.

...yeah you're right. I guess I just stuck to Travolta 'cause he's a natural pimp. I do think he had potential for the part though, if his actions and dialogue had been written better. _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

Definitely. Travolta's acting ability was not properly utilized, and I'm shocked that he didn't actually force changes to his character. I mean come on, just look at him in Broken Arrow.

I have read the comics and even played the game on the NES, but I still felt the way they made the movie was still a little cheesy and it could have been done a little better, no offense Krave. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality: 11 (Ultimate Fatality)

I know the first movie had cheesy dialogue, I know. (I also didn't like the settings for many major scenes.) I'm just stating that this sequel seems good. Sometimes a new director is used for the good and can move a shitty movie to its rightful unshitty place. _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."
