Alright, I have just finished playing some MKA, and I am curious to know, what character and what special move you find useless, and by useless I mean, it never works, never hits them, always blocked ect...
After playing about 2 hours I have noticed I can NEVER get Noobs ground portal to work!!! ever!, granted, sometimes it will make the opponent block and let me run in for at least a throw or maybe a low popup combo but other then that, I really dont think I have ever gotten that special to actually work. _________________

Satyricon, my young friend, have you tried playing around with Noob's Invisibility (U, D, Square) special move? If you haven't try it and use his style change kombo (Square (2), L1). You should be able to knock him into the portal, enabling another kombo attack. Also, try chaining in the Teleport Slam (D, U, Triangle). On the topic of most useless special move, however, I have to say that it is Kano's Power-Up ability. I understand that he, and many other warriors had the ability to power up in MK:DA, but the fact of the matter is that power-ups basically became useless after MK:DA because no character had them. It was like they never even existed and all of a sudden, they bring them back. I like the move, but I can hardly get a lot of damage done on my opponent within the time alotted for it. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality: 11 (Ultimate Fatality)

Hatericon: You do the ground portal and immediately use your ninja stars. Regularly they will just stand there and block while you use the ground portal so if you pull it off correctly they'll be like 'oh, stupid ground portal won't work' and then 'well, I'm going to block the ninja stars', but the ninja stars push him into the ground portal and he'll be totally defenseless...
...get ready to do a combo on him, and you're Noob, so he's screwed.
Most useless move? Well...how about a genre? I'm tired of regular fireballs. I know most characters have 'em but after so many games I'd say you'd have to be kind o' lost inside yourself to not instinctively block. Some fireballs, like the low ones or the ones that go up and then down or others of the sort may hit them, but regular fireballs can only hit CPUs on low difficulty. I'd have to say at this point, they're all kind o' useless. _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

Krave I mostly play against human opponents, so when I try and throw the stars after, they know to jump
Scorp53 I am invisible with noob everyround, even if its for only a second before I get slapped! lol. I guess I will just have to try more things to get his portal to work.
Krave (again) I agree with you on the fireballs, the second you see the fire animation on screen you know to block, to many years of blocking fireballs has lead to this, maybe, like you said, the low ones might hit you, or perhaps one of Kais, but by know its built in your mind to block the fire!
On that same note, why do they always have to be a fireball? why not ANYTHING else, energy?, mist?, goo! I dont care, lol. _________________

Most useless move but also funny is Shao Khan's Taunt move. I mean of course that has to be the number 1 useless move cause all it does is make him spit out his trademark signature taunts. But it's funny to hear them. _________________

I might be wrong, but this move should also heal him a bit. I personally caught myself repeating this move again and again (though it can be performed maximally 3x per fight) even if it should cause my loss
PS: Havik´s ´taunt move´ is IMO funnier _________________ DEVELOPER DIARIES

...yeah, every taunt heals a bit, I think some more than others, but they take longer. They're quite pointless as well.

...man, I get a lot of human players like that actually. But if you're lucky you can pull it off really fast when they're jumping back. It's a very specific talent though, and you really have to be watching for it. _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

Alright, I am getting it, I have actually been getting it to work, and it seems to do some decent damage!
Krave, after the portal, try and throw the stars, IF they jump, Noob has a uppercut/popup that pretty much sends them right into the hole. Good stuff Thanks all. _________________

Most useless move? Have to agree with Noob's portal thingy (forget the name) but I also really dislike Reptiles new roll attack. At least in Deadly Alliance it could trip your foe up when they blocked, its useless now! And even if it does connect your left right beside the opponent and are easy to attack. They really pissed me off with Reptile in this new game I must say! _________________

Kai's moves? Really? I liked those a lot actually. His fireballs were pretty cool back in MKIV, and it wouldn't have made sense to change them up in Geddon. The kicks are alright too. If anyone had bad moves all around it was Onaga, only his fire breath hits the opponent regularly and it does limited damage as is. _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

Yeah im pissed off that they didn't include onaga's awesome pick up your opponent and fly up and then throw him to the ground from deception when he was the boss. Im seriously pissed they didn't put it in armageddon that had to be the only move that made me say wow i can't wait to use onaga in armageddon for that move. It also dissapoints me that They never gave Cyrax his spider net move back it was so his signature move. _________________

I wish they had brought back Cyrax's green net, even though it was like Scorpion's spear I loved it...

I totally agree with you Nathan, about Cyrax's net. I was very dissapointed it wasnt implemented.
So far, I havent come across any useless moves but rather, moves I havent learned how to properly use them in certain situations.
As far as useless goes, I remember feeling Scorpion's spear move in MK2 was pretty useless against the computer since they always ALWAYS, dodge it. Unless you could pull of that difficult jump kick, teleport and spear combo, that spear would hardly be considered.
But thats MK2 and this is about Amrageddon. So far so good on my end. _________________ MORTAL KOMBAT!!!

Well, I gatta disagree that the general fire balls are useless, they can be a nice and flashy way to end a combo. Like, just start juggling the foe like you normally would, and instead of hitting them with a high impact move (depending on your juggling style) blast em with a fire ball.
As for what i find to be the most useless, I gatta go with the tuants. It's RARE I am giving the time by my foe to just tuant it up and heal, so it's kinda a waste, unless in a desperate situation. _________________
