Um mk8 isn't a rumor it's a real game that's going to be on xbox 360 and ps3 platforms as the first next gen game. Like it's already been mentioned armageddon was the last mk game that is going to be released on the ps2 which is the current gen. They did not mean it as being the last mk game ever.

there is (o yah!)  shortley before the realese of Armageddon Ed Boon, the writer, announced he was making 1 more mk game to finish the series, i found this information on wikipedia, just type in armageddon, the real question is if there making another movie! hmmm...

the last game that was released on PS2 was God of War 2
and don't double post,anyway does it still follow the armmegedon
plot and jumps into another one because that thing with blaze and
the pyramid has to end somehow

Armageddon is the last MK game for the PS2. They will the use the Ps3 from now on.

...nope. Geddon might be mentioned in small detail as the next saga of MK is meant to be revived with a clean slate. Extraordinarily few past characters and a whole new engine to run on. Details are completely incomprehendible at the moment.

...unfortunately you read miscorrectly as it states that Geddon was the last of this particular series (preferrably called saga to refer to MK's continuity) and more games will be released. Hope most of this is cleared up, as false rumours are heavily despised.

No one will know which original characters come back or not till some information comes out for mk8 on websites.
