I was just about to suggest a cyborg costume though I'd assume that will take a lot more time, so it's all a matter of possibility and desire I suppose. No matter what, you have cosplay talents, these ninja costumes alone are bad-ass and I suppose you could critique them.

Actually, Im not sure bro. I think if anything, I may do a Raiden as far as non ninja costumes goes. I had planned to create different styles of masks for each stealth fighter if anything. It all depends if I have time in between my career as well as if im lucky to find the right materials to put out a badass Baraka or something. 
Oh and I was really looking forward to making a killer Cyrax cosplay. But I will have to wait and see. |

You don´t really need any special materials for Baraka. I can see some resemblance between the two of you. So just grin at us in a grotesque way and I think it should work

Before frowney starts on about how he can't wait to see you in purple I just have to ask, are those three just going to be in different color format or will they have specifics in design, each of them different? It's all good if they're all the same, I was just curious...

Theyre all going to be different. Part of the fun is coming up with something different for each one.
I definitely want them to be unique no matter how small the change is.
The differences will be noticed mainly from mask but the tunic all the way down to the arm guards and shin guards will have their own vibe going.

Me either man. Im definitely curious to see how that turns out. I already bought everything I need to make it happen except the contacts which I just found online.
Theyre bright green, covers the entire eye with only the black pupil showing. Its perfect for Ermac

...damn, I figured you'd just photoshop the eyes. Even contacts? That's all out bad-ass my friend. Another damn question, is Ermac gonna be like his past days (Trilogy and before) or like Deception. With this one neither's preferred over the other, just freakin' curious again.

More or less to answer your question, these will all be reminicent to that of MK Trilogy. I took references from the last 2 movies as well.
I wanted to make these my own without straying too far from original concept.
And the reason Im going with contacts is because these guys will be presented in July's Anime Expo in Los Angeles whereas we will be messing around taking pics with other Mk supporters.
I never done something like wear a costume at a convention before, I figured now's a good time since I wont have much time left to play around.

Yeah, you got me. I have weakness for purple color. And the guys from Midway seem to know that, coz purple is one of the most used colors in MK (Mileena, Sindel, Li Mei, Rain, P2 MK4 Tanya etc.). But when it comes to ninjas, I´d rather see DS in orange

Well, just wanted to mention that Ermac´s new costume (MK:D) is one of the best costumes ever created for MK. But it would be also too hard to create it- especially the mask. Though if your ´classic´ costume will be at least as good as the previous ones, I´ll settle for it.
And the green eyes are obviously inspired by his MK:D/MK:A look, so it will definitely rock

DS, I definatly recommend that rather than posting the instructions on the internet, you should have your own website with images of the finished MK costumes up, so that people can order them, you make them and sell them. I know you could make a handfull of cash, even though it would require you to spend a lot of time making the costumes for all the customers, I think in the long run the money you'd make would be worth it.
I was curious, if you're to make one for Smoke, will he look like he did in MK2/UMK3/MKT, or will he have his MKD/MK:AR look, or would you go with the one from MK: Shaolin Monks (my personal favourite)? Also, for the Rain costume, do you plan to have him with his original classic look or his updated one in MK:AR? I know it would be damn hard to recreate the Armageddon one, but it would stand out from the other ninjas.

Hey guys! I thought Id share the latest update on the Reptile cosplay.
Im also proud to say that I will be holding the very first Mortal Kombat gathering at Anime Expo 07 in Long Beach, California!!!
I'll take plenty of pics and bring them here.
I'll shrink the last pic. Sorry I didnt think it was that large.
Ermac is next! Im not sure if I'll have it done by this weekend but if I do, pics will come soon!

Your costume is great, as always. But why are you scowling at us all the time? Ninjas can´t be nice and smile? It almost made me feel like you´re sitting on toilet seat and trying to... you know what I mean. But obviously you´re not sitting. Maybe the next time, you could smile at us, just for the sake of smiling ninja

I see the Prince of Pain trilogy pinned up there, hardcore. That doesn't amount to how your costume turned out. That kicks ass-ka-bobs. And everyone knows ninjas actually smile, get with the program man. Looks like you've got a lot to look forward to in the costume world, can't wait to hear from you, an MK anime expo sounds awesome.

He's already done a scorpion one just look in the other threads and you'll find it. Great job on the Reptile one though darkspecter it rocks as always. Can't wait for the ermac one for sure.
