They've been creating new characters up until now, and I'm afraid it seems as though they've lost their greater talents. Still, I believe with their creative minds they'll be able to think of enough new characters and moves to fill a story. They're gamers too.

I believe that the new MK characters will be pretty good, up until now, they have just been coming up with 1 or 2 lame new people to throw into a mix of 90% old characters, this time around they will really have to sit down and try to come up with some great new stuff. The new game depends on it and they know it.
I have faith, all will be good, MK will remain fighting king!

I'm sure his ending wouldn't affect his being in MK8, though I doubt it due to his lack of story. Kenshi maybe, though only with a cameo appearance.

i heard that they are starting it fresh like mortal kombat deadlly allince
with all new charcters. most of them are not going to be on the
mortal kombat 8 because they died in arrmaggedon.

well very little is known atm. it would be save to assume most perished, however i think it would be an awful marketing strategy to kill of the majority of the crew. it seems very much like TMK just assumed they had all died(or most of them)
so im pretty confident(until stated other wise) that they will find some way to bring them back, maybe it was all a dream?

I really dont forsee them dropping everyone, especially not Scorpion or Sub-Zero. And I really dont want them to start completely fresh.

It's really hard to tell who's going to be in it. I think of all the current characters, Scorpion is probably the most likely to return. Also, Raiden and Sub-Zero, or probably a descendent of Sub-Zero. I would like to pretend Jade will be in it, as well as Sindel and Kitana, although I don't see that happening. I do think for the females though that Kitana would be most likely to return.
Who knows though. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with though.

I want Luikang and Kunglao to appear in MK8. They're both cool and beastly. Other than them, I would like my fav villians to be there too. ((Shang Tsung and Shoa Kahn) sub and scorp are definetly gonna be there. I would also like to see some new guys/girls

I think Scorpion,Sub zero,Raiden and Liu Kang will return I'm hoping Kung Lao, Kitana,Shang Tsung,Johnny cage and shao Kahn will return but the first four are more likely to return
