Kitana:An Edenian whose realm was destroyed by Emporer Kahn,girlfriend of Liu Kang.
Johnny Cage:Currently deceased,defeated by Emporer Kahn attempting to save Sonya Blade,ressurected in the 4th tournement.
Sonya Blade:Part of the US Special Forces,partner Major Jackson Briggs,currently after the head of the Black Dragon Kano.
Jax:Member of the US Special Forces,partner of Liutenent Sonya Blade,has electronic arms which raises muscle capacity X4,currently after the leader of the Black Dragon Kano.
Goro:500 year old half Dragon half Human beast,assistant of Shang Tsung, killed in the first tournement by Liu Kang.
Kintaro:A Shokan whom served Shao Kahn in the second tounement,the replacement of Goro,killed by Liu Kang in the second Tournement.
Motaro:Centurian whom served Kahn in the third Tournement,also killed by Liu Kang.
Sheeva:A Shokan whom was the former protector of Queen Sindel.
Shao Kahn:Emporer of Outworld.son of Shinnok,killed in the Third Tournament by Liu Kang.
Shang Tsung:Winner of 9 straight tournaments,but killed in the 10th by Liu Kang,ressurected in the second tournament,currently teaming with Quan Chi to take over the world.
Quan Chi:Dark socceror who killed his Master Shinnok with a sacred amulet in the 4th tournament,currently teaming with Shang Tsung to take over the world.
Shinnok:Former Elder God,killed in the 4th tournament by Quan Chi,Father to Kahn
Nightwolf:A Shaman who protected his tribe from Kahn's invasion,winner of the third tournament.
Stryker:Riot officer,only survivor of Kahns invasion of New York.

SUB-ZERO 5TH: Deceased Lin Kuei warrior with Cyrokenetic Ice powers.
He was the blamed killer of Takeda. Older brother of Sub-Zero 6th.
SUB-ZERO 6TH: Active Lin Kuei warrior also with Cyrokenetic Ice powers.
Current leader of Lin Kuei clan who aims his clan for the side of good.
Owner of The Dragon Amulet which gains his powers.
Friend of Smoke.
SCORPION: Deceased warrior who formely had the name Hanzo Hasashi.
Combined his soul with Takeda's body and formed Scorpion.
Originally killed by Sub-Zero 5th but later found out his natural killer was Quan Chi.
REPTILE: Zaterran reptillian warrior who belongs to a group of extinct reptillian creatures.
After his homeland was destroyed at the hands of Shao Kahn, he went on a genocide rampage and was responcible for the death of billions.
He was later bannished to the Netherealm.
He was bought back by Shinnok, only to serve him.
Reptile now continues his mission to regain his Zaterran homeworld by entering the 5th tournament.
RAIN: Rain was an Edenian warrior, who was kidnapped by Shao Kahn just after the demolition of Edenia.
Shao Kahn trained Rain to become a great warrior, he gave him the powers of conducting electricity with water.
Rain was the general of Shao Kahn's armies before being killed by Shao Kahn himself.
ERMAC: Telekenetic warrior who gains his powers by accumalating dead warriors' souls throughut his body.
Was a general in Shao Kahn's army before being killed by Sonya Blade.
NOOB SAIBOT: Nocturnal Shadow Spectre who is a member of The Brothers Of The Shadow.
His mission is to spy on the war between Good and Evil.
Former member of The Lin Kuei who went by the name of Shade.
He was killed by The Grandmaster of Lin Kuei for trying to escape the clan.
His death was very mysterious, the Grandmaster formed Shade's shadow and blanketed Shade's body in it.
