Hey guys. My name is Effrem J. Adams. I am a filmmaker located in Hartford CT. I have been a fan of MK for ages now and growing up I wanted so bad for them to make a third MK movie. I know that many people have tried to take on a new MK movie of their own such as Domination and Requiem of the Dragons yet they failed and these were never released.
I promise that I will at least have some sort of project done by 2008. However I can't promise that it will be a big production, but it will be the best I can do on a no budget level.
You can see an example of some of my work & what I can do in the links below on a Action/Fantasy film series I did called Black Snake. It's the only project I've fully completed. I just don't want any confusion on anyones part of what to expect.

As for MK: The Next Generation, the plot is as follows...
20 Years after the events of Mortal Kombat Annihilation, Han, a regular college freshmen finds himself having horrible nightmares about an other worldly dimension known as Outworld. When his foster parents reveal to him that he was an orphan from the Temple of Light, he discovers that he is a descendant of Kung Lao and cousin to the now dead Lui Kang.
After some research, it is revealed that the government covered up the Outworld invasion that happened so many years ago.
Han must learn to tap into his special abilities when the last remainders of Kano’s clan, the Black Dragon, unleash the spirits of ancient warriors. With the aid of Kitana, he will prepare himself and his friends for the next Mortal Kombat tournament.

I really wish I could make something that included more game characters, but those chosen were picked for budget reasons. Same with the dicision of the storyline.

Hi there
It's good to see you put hard work into this, but just to let you know they havn't "failed" to get a 3rd film out... basicly Hurricane Katrina causes lots of problems by destroying the studio for starters... the list goes on, there is a 3rd movie coming but no date is known as yet.

Simple and respectable ascension (story-wise), though no plot is actually mentioned. Han doesn't seem to have any enemies or knowledge of purpose...he's just going to be in the tournament...and he learns from there?
That's nothing though, I remain interested in seeing its production. I'd definitely like the myspace link when you've made it.

Hey guys. Right now I am working with a company on costume design. Located in China. Scorpion and Noob Saibot will have the their original costumes. I'll be posting publicity photos of the costumes within the next two weeks.
If you visit the myspace page you'll see updates on the soundtrack in the blog section. Kabal has also been added to the character roster.

Excellent, I suspect Kabal will be the most difficult to pull off. I'd suggest if the mask looks too 'cheap', you might stick with a burnt-face Kabal, mask-less. Kudos getting legitimate costumes, the appearance is second to the script alone.
Pictures will get more feedback, as well fans. Can't wait to see what you've done.

I took notice of that myself. It gave me a chuckle.
But, the part where I read that one of his actresses got in an accident, didnt. I wish the lady a speedy recovery.
I wish I could make an MK film.
