Parry, I would say, you can parry then go into your combo, breaker only throws them across the screen. You don't get a chance to damage them, just a missile move if you want to make the breaker actually contribute to doing damage to the opponent. Not saying breaker is completely useless though, it can be annoying when done to you, but all in all, I would say Parry is definatly the more usefull.

I use parries more for obvious reasons, though I'd rather breakers stay due to being fair.

Parry by far is the most useful over the breaker. Like it has been stated the parry if you do it right with the combo you can do alot of damage. While with the breaker like has also been mentioned only throws you or your opponent across the screen. It was a good idea from the mk team for sure to introduce the parry system.

Breakers can save you a lot of trouble, it would be more depressing without them. I always feel so helpless in MK:DA, without any chance to break my opponent´s combo. Though the parry system isn´t bad either Wink

Being stuck in a combo is all just part of Mortal Kombat. If you stop it before-hand with a breaker you at least put some effort in it. Anyone can pull off a breaker whenever. They're somewhat unfair for that and can really screw your opponent over, and maybe this time they don't deserve it.

Well, really, both can come in quite handy. A parry you take no damage at all if you can land it just right when an opponent is about to attack. You basically have to think like your opponent here. It can be the decision maker between a victory and a loss. Parries also allow you to land your longest kombo in on your opponent, which is suggesting they don't use a breaker during it. Breakers, however, you take minimal damage for them when breaking up a kombo attack. Breakers are also essential to a victory or a loss, but the key is strategy with these because you only have 3 breakers during the fight and they carry over, if you use any, meaning you do not get 3 back for Round 2 or Round 3 if it becomes necessary. Breakers can save your neck if in the middle of a kombo attack, but the problem is if you use them on every kombo your opponent lands on you and when you run out of them, your screwed if you rely on them, like you had to in Mortal Kombat: Deception. I say they are both useful, but don't depend on either one of them because you will crack under the pressure. Twisted Evil

I personally like the perry better, it can be used ulimited times.
You just have to get the timing down so you dont parry for no reason and be open to attacks. But the breaker is also a good thing.

I suppose this is the reason why you´re allowed to use the breaker only three times per match Wink

If I could get used to the timing on the parrys I'd appreciate them alot more, so far i have relied on the breakers but to look at it from the gaming perspective I would say that Parrys are more effective

I feel like the situation where you can get stuck in a combo only occurs about once every round. I always have an extra breaker or three.

And again, here we are. There are differences between people. And really, there are differences between you and me. This is about opinion. So just let it go or... whatever Wink
