After my house caught fire and died last November, I have utterly missed Deception. I managed to save my Armageddon CD, but the case got destroyed.
As I have no money, I can't exactly buy another copy. To make it worse, the copy was never actually mine - it was my aunt's.
Anyone lose their copy ever?
And someone remind me of the different, happy parts of the game - I miss it so.
Yes, this is random. But I was looking over the forum and my heart aches for my long-lost game.

from what i remember the game sucked. Sorry to say it but MK lost its flava a long time ago for me. This site just got me caught up in the hype. Go play SSB and forget MK ever existed...

I thought MK Deception was far superior to Deadly Alliance and was quite enjoyable. Then Armageddon came out and surpassed it in all ways, while keeping all the good stuff. Violator does have a point though, after the 16/32 bit era, something has been amiss in the MK games. Still, MK is the best fighting game series in my opinion. (PowerStone 2 was friggin' amazing though on the Sega Dreamcast...I've played that game so much with friends it's insane! Awesome 4 player brawls which are vastly more enjoyable than anything SSB has offered).
I didn't loose my copy of Deception, but I got the Special Edition and kept the outside box cover as well as the main game case, but the outside box part got tossed some time when I wasn't around. Not a big deal, but a bit of a piss off.

dont get me wrong though, MK has some of the most interesting characters in gaming and I have always enjoyed keeping up with their stories...

I misplaced my copy when I moved, since it's my Favorite Game I bought it again. Since then I've found it and gave it to my 2 step sons.
But now, I have 2 copies of it and MKDA, one for ps2 and one for NGC.
Before anyone says anything, 2 weeks before this is a dead topic. So I posted in time and didn't break the rules.  Not that I'm trying to stir up anything, just to let you know it's not dead yet.
Yes I missed it when I couldn't play it. But just remember how it felt when you got a krypt key that unlocked a character, arena, or costume. The free roaming adventure of the konquest, all the side missions. Kicking butt until you got to Onaga, and then bam would you like to continue. I think it is the best game they ever put out!
