what exactly is a action replay, max replay and cheat cart?
because on my other topics there talking
about them.
can some one tell me what they are please

they basically hack the game data, enabling things like invincibility and level select, however it does other things like work as a pc to console connector(in some case's) allowing you to download and use save games from the internet.
however, though experience most things fuck up the game(not permanent, unless you save), making bugs crashing ect. though this could have changed in the last 10 years or so.

Its only really bad if you activate too many cheats at once (like I tried almost all the Metal Gear Solid 2 options they had and the game never managed to start) or if you activate a code that gives you something that should not be availible at the point you are playing.
There are also other uses to Action Replay other than cheats thought, like on the Gamecube version it comes with Freeloader which allows you to play games from other regions of the world. The PS2 version has a media player and a multi region DVD player on it.
