but imo there's too many FPS games on the console, and i dislike the controls for console versions, i gave it a 2.

The game is not out yet, but given all the stuff I've seen that'll be in it:
-4 player co-op campaign mode each player with a unique character rather than 4 Master Chiefs
-Flame thrower and gatling gun weaponry as well as deployable turrets
-One of the best stories and original scores, not to mention graphics
-Great multiplayer features and replay value, etc. etc. etc.
I can tell you Halo 3 will undoubtably be the best game of the franchise to date. I have no doubt it will win game of the year at the next VGAs. It has already sold a million copies in pre-orders alone! I know that number of copies sold doesn't make a game good necessarily, but so far Bungie has yet to disappoint. Even though Halo 2 had its fair share of critics and shortcomings, the overall game experience was nothing short of great.
For those that say the Halo games are crap, they are usually people who are either not fans of FPS or are just saying it to stir up controversy and to be rebellious.

just to clear anything up, if anything is up.
i don't like the game for one reason its a console game, im just useless with the controls, it it was on the pc i think it would be good fun for me.
however, i have other FPS games on the pc, and there's not enough difference for me to go buy it.
if a friend lent it to me or i visited and was aloud to play i would, and i probably would enjoy it.

Actually Both Halo and Halo 2 Are avaible on the pc now as well for Halo 2 Though you need a really good computer to play it smooth and such.

I never played Halo 3 before but I heard that it's the number one ranked game on the Xbox 360 and fifth all-time greatest game.

Call me the odd man out, but I never liked ANY of the Halo games. though as a gamer, I due give this game its respect; it looks amazing. Other then that, eh...

i agree with the ed i looks amazing and they are awsome games but they need to change the enimes and the plot to like protect the convent
and fight along side them. from a greater threat.

Here's an idea: play the game and then decide how you feel about it.
I just played for an hour, and this game is well worth it. The graphics alone are leagues beyond Halo 2, and the weapons seem to have better control.

Halo 3 is finally out now and I'm going over my friends house who has it and were going to play it for hours. When I come back from his house I will tell everyone what I think of it.

I have many freinds who have this and bought it on the first night it came out. I don't have it, and probaly won't get it because I only have PS2 and PS3. It's all good, thogh. I got Resistance  ,MK2   , and more . anyways my freinds have mixed feelings. some say things like,"oh man!! this freakin rocks!!!  " while some are like,"DAMN!! I'm disappointed in you!! you were supposed to be way better than this!!!  " (by 'you' in the last quote, I mean Halo 3)
I have not played it yet, and I don't know who to trust. but I guess it would be good and fun to play.
