so my husband and I made the plunge about a month or so ago and purchased our first next-gen console: an Xbox 360.
now, with me having been a little Sony fangirl for so long, this kinda came as a surprise to me, since I figured we'd be investing in a PS3 or hell, even a Wii before a 360. Microsoft's previous console didn't offer very many games that we were interested in, so when they launched the 360, I didn't pay it much mind.
however, now that we have it, I've been hard pressed to put the controller down.
while my husband has been engrossed in BioShock and Rainbow Six Vegas, I've been enjoying Dead or Alive 4, Ninety Nine Nights, and since we got it yesterday, Blue Dragon, an RPG of hopefully epic proportions.
I've already pre-ordered my copy of Eternal Sonata, which combines two of my favorite things... music and RPGs. I also downloaded a teaser yesterday from the Xbox Marketplace for Soul Calibur 4. I was absolutely wowed by the graphics. and if the previous titles are any indication, this game will be massive and grossly entertaining.
since our 360 collection is growing, I was curious as to what, if any 360 games you enjoy or are looking forward to in the future. opinions and reasons are naturally encouraged. ^_^

Welcome to 360 ville...hehe...Make sure you play "Gears Of War" It's one of the best games I have ever played

don't over look the XBLA(x box live arcade) there are about 80titles witch you can download a trial version of, then buy & play them if you like them, for a *very* reasonable price.
as for what you asked i think there are a couple of RPG's coming out for it, but you seemed to have spotted them.
but the darkness is a very good game, from what ive seen in the demo.

Gears of War was one of the first games that we got for the 360. Marcus plays it, but as for me, the controls were a little awkward, and shooters aren't really my kind of thing anyway, but I really love the atmosphere the game gives off.

I absolutely love playing a good round (or 20) of Bejeweled 2. I'm also planning on playing through the port of Symphony of the Night available on XBLA. =)

I always took more of an interest in FEAR and Call of Duty 3 because I don't only play FPS and the Mortal Kombat games.

i guess the content differs between region then, cause i cant find it:-/
really though, spend a good day downloading the free trial games, there tiny and awesome time wasters, i highly recommend geometry wars.

Yeah xbox 360 is awesome i got mine on august 13th from trading in my ps2 and games and such. I got 9 xbox live full arcade games so far Aegis wing,uno,totem ball i need the vision camera to play that one tmnt arcade 1989, bomberman live, 3d ultra mini golf adventure, hexic hd, track and field and umk3. For xbox 360 games i have 4 so far Madden 08, Nhl 08, nba street homecourt and finally Forza Mortorsport 2 which i got in the xbox 360 premium bundle.
My gamertag is Doug1519 my main one but the free xbox live gold trial will be up on that one on september 14th so i made a second one Doug1915 which will last me to october 11th, but i won't need to use it till that day because ill be buying the xbox 1 year and 1 month live gold card on october 5th or around there. So if anyone here wants to play me in those games or xbox live arcade games if they have some just add my gamertag's  .

I'm not getting an Xbox 360, but instead a ps3. One problem with the Xbox 360 is that 70% of the people who buy it have problems with it and return it. But only 10% of ps3 owners have problems with their console. Plus my favorite game of all-time "Resistance:Fall Of Man" is on the ps3, along with Call Of Duty 4:Modern Warfare coming out in November.

All 360s made up until a few months back have "design flaws" causing consoles to RROD (Red Ring Of Death). Mine did it 7 months after purchase
(see the vid lol) but now Microsft have been forced to extend all warrentys on 360 consoles to 3 years, costing the company $US 1.5 billion in repairs. All new 360 consoles and 360 elite don't have this issue. So a 3 year warrenty is pretty darn good...lol.

we had to take back our first 360 because of the Red Ring of Death. you couldn't get past the menu in Viva Pinata without freezing issues. I'm pretty sure that someone had done the good ol' switcheroo with the console, because when we were unpacking it, I remembered thinking, "wow, AAFES is pretty ghetto if they don't repackage the refurbished items they get to sell to us." the seals had been broken. =/ so yeah. we took the defective one back and got a new one and we haven't had a single problem with it yet. here's hoping it doesn't have any.

The whole idea of the red ring of death, puts me off from ever buying an Xbox360 system. But I did want one. I'll just continue my wait for now. Glad youre happy with your system and sorry you had to take the first one back.
Im actually very very thrilled and anxious for the arrival of my Nintendo Wii so I can play the latest Metroid Prime title!! And whats funny is that, its the only game that will exist for my console as I have absolutely no interest in expanding the library. lol.
Well, that and because my Wii system will be free. (business perks)
I really want a PS3 but not till GOW3 comes out. Then I'll start my saving. Ohhh! And the new Turok looks promising!

god of war 3? i agree that game is going to rock, hopefully the ps3 will be affordable by then
one of the only reason i have a wii is for the metroid game, but the more i play it the more it just irritates me, cause i have a wireless mouse + keyboard(gyration) witch is what i thought the wiimotes were going to be based around(i think its RF), but instead you have to be parallel to the sensor bar. i meen any one who has used the gyration mouse will know what im talking about, its like the wiimote but w/o a sensor bar, it even works through walls:). but its really too childish for me, i havn't seen many actual proper games release in a long time.

Yo scorpion53 which games do you have so far for xbox 360 if you have ultimate mk3 for the arcade live we can play online sometime be pretty wicked and this goes for whoelse has umk3 just add doug1915 is what im using now till october 5th when i pick up the xbox 12 months +1 month free card so i could redeem that code on my original doug1519 account.
