I think the closest we'll ever get to a female Scorpion is Tanya.
let's look at the similarities... they both wear yellow, both have fiery moves, both have a strange lack of irises in their eyes... and in my opinion, they're both pretty BA.
as it stands, I'd like to see less "ninja" and more original concepts for characters.

I don't like female versions of characters. I'd rather see interesting, original characters.

I agree, there are more ninjas (from different clans) than any other clans members in the game (what there are 2 members maybe 3 at the most.) And have a variaty of characters.

We originally got a female version of the ninjas in the MK cartoon Defenders of the Realm. A character named Ruby (who had a lot of similar traits to Tanya) was shown in the red colors along side Ermac.

Thinking about it, it might be cool to have a spin-off game where you are a recruit of any clan and you have an adventure based off your conquests in the game. You have to go through certain missions (and side-missions) to achieve a high status and/or learn new super moves, etc..

i dont personally like it, scorpion is very original and make his female counterpart wont fit it too much, but, seeing his wife and son will be interesing

A female Scorpion could possibly be his wife think about it wouldnt that make sense when he won in mk1 against Shang Tsung it said that he was cursed with the powers and stuff what if a hidden mystery that they could tell in her first bio that she was cursed also to forget Scorpion but then again it really wouldnt go with the later storyline.

A female Scorpion?? Hmm... I dunno. They'd have to make a pretty damn interesting story for her and she'd have to look really bad ass/creepy.
I dont think we have many ninjas anymore. We used to. But Ermac is no longer ninja or ninja looking. Reptile the same. Rain, even more so. And perhaps the only two who look like ninjas are Scorpion and Sub Zero.
I could easily add Frost and Noob to that roster as well. So all in all, 4 ninja like characters.
I wish they gave ermac his suit back because I TRULY hate the new suit he wears now that makes him look more like a terrorist than a stealth fighter. Rain looks .... girly. And reptile is ugly. But thats just my opinion.
To be honest, I dont want to see new characters anymore. I want Boon to get his head out of his butt and perfect the characters he already has in his grip. Give em some story or something.

Sub zero got his girl, so Scorpion should have one to. It would probably be his wife. It would make much more sense if it ended up being his wife then some other random chick. By being Scorpions wife theirs more of a story to go along with it.

I dont know...
Will she also yell "get over here!!" too? Amazingly, I find that to be silly.
For some reason, Im able to forgive the existence of Frost. But a female scorpion? Hmmm... not sure about that unless we're just talking cheap fun novelty.

CHibi is right, Tanya is essentally, the female Scorpion. Though people who know me know I've been pushing for Scorpion's wife and/or Son to make an appereance in later Mk games. I remember (I think it was frogger), made a halarious picture about it to smite the idea. it was a baby Scorpion with a saying like "He has come to avenge his father, leathal and deadly, if only he could change his own diapers."
