Raiden didn't become evil, perse, more like he is just a lot darker an kinda cruel. Once you unlock his bios, it'll make things a lot clearer for you too.

first of vinky, welcome to TMK.
secondly, I think you should read some of our rules, namely the ones about name calling. not cool.
and thirdly, I wouldn't say that Raiden was made "evil", per say, but more that he was tired of cleaning up Earthrealm's messes.

okay for those who dont know since no one have completley right
Raiden is an elder god but he against the will of the elder gods
he stayed as the protector of earth realm
and after his ehm ... troop of light
failed Raiden Fought the Deadly alliance
which killed him
shortly he awakens
and when onaga shows up raiden relises
oh SH*T so thats why shujinko needed the kamdogus
he tried to kill onaga but it didnt work
so he sacrificed him self thus killing the army of the dragon king
and he clashes abit with Quan chi shangtsung and onaga
but raiden cant stand the thought shujinko had help the dragon king
so raiden patience runs out
after all years of helping mortals with respect
he decides to create order in earthrealm by might and violence
that is why he is Dark raiden
