Okaeee... So, after TMK sends me a link to a myspace user whom he thought was me because the dude was wearing a Scorpion costume thats about 98% replica of my design work, I took small steps to protect myself and my work. Heres an example the dude's work which im actually impressed with. 
Heres mine for comparison for those of you who havent seen my work..
They look the same dont they? Well, this guy was really cool about it and his explanation was down to earth. So I didnt care anymore about any of that stuff and was ready to let go of the fact that these things will happen and should be sought after as a compliment.
I did decide to create an FYI image on my myspace pics early morning to state a point to my work or something after another friend advised me to do so. which was nothing mean or anything.
but down to the point.
It took me weeks to finish these puppies.
Anywho, all was cool and good till his buddy hits me up angrily
about me posting my fyi image (which was actually hidden in the pics section and not really made public on a bulletin or anything)
He said that I shouldve emailed them prior. How the heck did I know their work was going to come out looking like mine? lol... But heres the other thing we need to understand. Neither claim them as their own. But they also didnt credit the person behind atleast those patterns and masks.
Anywho heres his buddy Who emailed me mad.
This one, is mine so you can see the similarities.
You can read what he had to say. Claiming I told him it was ok to copy my work on AIM. After recolecting his claim, I remembered a short AIM chat where I told him that he can build his stuff using foam sheets and cardboard understructure and was nice enough to show them examples.
My mistake? 
Well, they not only used the examples, but totally copied the patterns and everything else. I didnt get mad, but I was worried.
Reptile's response:
"You and I had a long AIM conversation one night about them. You had given me long and detailed info on how you did it, and I was very clear that I was looking to do the costumes. I asked, and you voiced zero protest to my doing so.
I had saved all the pictures you gave me as my own proof of how I went about it.
Not once did we ever claim to have designed the costumes. Before Halloween we had BOTH written to you numerous times, always having our emails deleted, ignored (<---bullshit -DarkSpecter) otherwise just un-answered.
My buddy who did Scorpion had wanted to purchase the mask straight from you, actually, (I remember that and said no -DarkSpecter) but we went on what knowledge we had to complete them.
We made our own slight modifications to the design (more so my own Reptile than his Scorpion). On top of this, the concept of you "designing" these outfits is far from true. (WTF! -DarkSpecter) You created your interpretation of them. My own was heavily influenced by you, but the heaviest common factor is material. My mask design, arms, and shins were done differently. My chest piece had more V's.... that's about it on there.
On top of this... Kitana, Mileena (no pictures as of yet) and Rayden were all our own. You wanna play the low-blow game in posting pictures of us, do it. Leave the others out of it. They don't know who you are, and they're just feeling harassed. (I never intended to post pics of people wearing costumes that werent copies of mine -Dark Specter)
Had we communicated with you on the matter of giving us a hand, I think your claim might be valid. I had to take my own path, though. Our costumes are made out of foamies. That's just about everything you've got. Take a good detailed look at the pictures (as there's far more on my page) and there I rest my case. Our costumes were mutually designed on Mortal Kombat. Lose the ego-trip. "
Well... I have an ego trip now. lol.
I sent him a lengthy response afterwards saying it was cool and cream before i read his message and blah blah.
You know... I never told him, stop claiming these are your own concepts, but I did say, give some credit to the person who stood up days and nights trying to do something different. 
I mean geez. And he kept trying to mask it all with me not being the only reason why my cosplays were popular. That MK had more to do with it than my work. WELL DUH! No one said I made MK famous.  And for crying out loud, I dont care if people use my designs SO LONG AS IM GIVEN CREDIT for specific pattern design work. Had I copied Scorpions costume from one of the games top to bottom, Id have no fame to claim.
Anywho, they both won 1000.00 USD at a costume fest. 
I mean... Im feeling confused and surprised. Im not gonna push this any further though. Whatever.
I thought it would be fun to share this piece of fanboyish MK drama with you guys since we're lacking topics. hahahaha just kidding.

The wonderful fanboy dramas of the MK Universe :] A 'hey, no problem, I'll tell people DarkSphincter did it' would have been fine. Some people are very sensitive.
By the way, even with his so called 'modifications', yours dominated in comparison.

Yeah some people are like that they like to act like dorks. But like Kombatkrave said Darkspecter your's blows there comparisons out of the water .

lol your designs shit all over those "re-creations" that those guys made. You can tell from the detail on the Reptile costume, things like the belt on the imitation costume has no detail on it at all compared to yours...
You should sell the designs to someone, get a licence from Midway then sue the guy LOL
Just kidding of course, but what a prick for not ackowledging your work...that pisses me off alot. (People always stealing exclusives images from TMK too  hence the watermarks)
