If you haven't heard my friends, the movie Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li will begin filming in March of '08. Kristen Kreuk will be Chun-Li.
Now we can hope Street Fighter will be successful, because if it does well in the market, unlike DOA, film companies will open their minds to fighting game movie adaptations, and the anticipated MK3 may have a chance.

...there's also a Tekken movie in production. If they're making a movie as shitty as Tekken, MK3's sounding more and more plausible.

Omg yes! I hope to heck MK3 will arrise from this.
I'm so hungry for another MK film. Man it would be the event of the century for me.

I can see MK coming back even without the SF movie. I mean far worse stuff is coming out, another MK movie would cash in on the retro/remake phase hollywood is going through.

Apparently, Batman Begins, opened the door to that phase. Its sucks to see that people werent intelligent enough or ballsy enough to figure this was the best way to make a film about fiction graphic books.

A Street Fighter film... successful? What have you been smoking? How ever in recent years only one truly good video game movie has been released, Silent Hill. The reason that was so successful was that it stuck to the game story and setting unlike most which takes character and thinks putting them in any situation will do.
