It only works for Sub-Zero and Scorpion, but in the living forest at the first stage you can build your multiality w/the zombies and then go so the brotherhood of shadows, do your multiality and you get all the exp points as if you fought all of them. You can do this over and over to gain exp fast. You might have to fight the BoS every other time if you don't have a cheat disc w/infinite fatality meter. Or if you don't want to fight the BoS, just jump back and forth through the portal and fight the easier shadow priests and zombies. 
PS A little off original topic but another place to get extra exp is in the clay statue room. After you beat Reptile, as you return to this room, stand in the circle for a little while (sometimes 20 secs other times a minute) anyway they will start coming out AND fast far faster than to get the brutality. I can't do it by myself (though I try just about three times and then go on. Done it w/tag team but not single, cause they come out of every door at least twice. But if you do it you will get extra exp and an unlockable koin.
PSS Just to remind you if you've played it before having a cheat disc, and now you have one; be sure to save before you enter the statue room for the first time, then reset not using any codes and empty your fatality meter before entering the statue room, beat the statues, get the brutality, go back and save. You now can re-enter cheats and continue. If you go into the statue room with infinite fate meter all you can do is try to hit the statues w/a fatality, and you'll realize that you have to restart where you last saved.
I don't know if this entire post will help anybody, but I thought I'd share the info I know.

if you did not use the cheat divice you can't usethe mutality to get exp points .... just tellingthe people who nver played it befroe lol

I explained how to do it w/o a cheat device first, and it doesn't work for the shaolin monks just Sub-Zero and Scorpion I've done it.
