What is the difference between these two characters? Are the the same character just different spelling, like Rayden and Raiden? I never saw Chameleon in the earlier games, and I'm not about to get a Wii to see him/her w/e.

Similarities:
* Both fighters made their debut appearences in Mortal Kombat Trilogy.
* Both are ninjas and use the moves of their gender's ninjas.
* Both are transparent and flicker in and out in a variety of colors.
* Both are of the same race.
Differences:
* The male uses a "Ch" and the female uses a "Kh".
* Chameleon, the male, appeared in the PS1, Saturn, and PC version of Trilogy. Khameleon, the female, appeared exclusively in the N64 release.
* In Trilogy, Khameleon actually had a storyline and took part in the MK canon, while Chameleon was only introduced as one of Shao Kahn's deadliest warriors.
* In Armageddon, Khameleon still has a storyline and Chameleon doesn't - though Chameleon is playable in all versions of Armageddon, while Khameleon is exclusive to the Nintendo Wii.
* In Trilogy, Chameleon copies all the moves of Scorpion, Classic Sub-Zero, Reptile, Ermac, Human Smoke, Rain, and Noob Saibot, while Khameleon copies all the moves of Kitana, Mileena, and Jade - only when they are in that ninja's specific color.
* In Armageddon, Chameleon copies one move from Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Ermac, and Rain, while Khameleon copies one move from Kitana, Jade, Mileena, and Tanya - at any time during gameplay.
* Khamaleon has been referenced at least twice between Trilogy and Armageddon while Chameleon was never mentioned.
* Khameleon is the only one that has official ties to Reptile.

Yes it does help. I had no idea of the story of either, so thank you for the info. I've heard the name several times, and people complain about him/her alot, not being in more MK games. Thanks again Jay!!

Very detailed answer. One other thing to add is that Chameleon, the male ninja, was also in MKT for PC and for Saturn since they were all ports of the same game.

I have the psone ver of MKT how do you access him? Three flawless vics in a row? or beat the game w/a specific character?

To play as Chameleon on the PlayStation version of MK Trilogy, you must, at the character selection screen, highlight and choose any of the male masked ninjas and hold Back, High Punch, High Kick, Run, and Block. Make sure that you hold these buttons until the match actually begins.

Thanks again Jay, I'll try it next time I play.
PS Think I should get the N64 ver of MKT, I know where to get one. I'd be willing to get that as opposed to Wii and especially MKA again.
