Recent news has just come through that Australian actor Heath Ledger has been found dead in NYC. Heath was an Oscar Nominee for Brokeback Mountain and his last role will be seen later this year as the Joker in DC Comics Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight. His exact cause of death is currently unknown but the most likely reason is suicide or and accidental oversdose of sleeping pills.

wow.
I have absolutely no idea what to think of this. this man was young, talented, and successful. from what I've read, the signs are pointing more to suicide rather than an accidental overdose.
I guess it goes to show you that fame and success can't buy happiness.
what a tragedy.

I actually just heard 2 hours ago from my castmates at school about Ledger's death. At first, the immediate response was that it had to be a publicity stunt for Dark Knight. But, really sad things happen these days. I really liked his performances in his movies.... RIP

I was really shocked....I can't wait to see his final film "The Dark Knight" it will be sweet, the sad thing is other than his death of course is he can't reprise his role as The Joker.

He did finish filming Batman and I doubt there will be need to reprise the role since odds on chances is that he gets killed in the film.

Yes, but you know Hollywood would want to shell out a sequel eventually featuring the Joker again. Maybe not the next Batman movie, but we all know that as long as it brings in the money it will become a long-running franchise.
They could always get a replacement actor when it comes to that.
Aside from Batman, I found out that Ledger was in the middle of filming a new movie, where he played a vital role. It might or might not continue, but the plot seemed great, so it sucks that it would have to pull through without him or not get made at all.

Arnie played in a Batman movie, now it's Stallone's turn. Would fit the role of a brain damaged villain, a mixture of Rambo and Rocky VIIXIX.

the autopsy results won't come in for a few weeks, so we won't know the reason for sure until then...
but he was found in his apartment surrounded by sleeping pills, and the drug was found in his bloodstream, so it could've happened that way.

i really didt like that comment, and i honestly dont see it funny  , maybe we or our families have to meet death tomorrow, and for that we should keep a respect.
