as long as scorpion ,subzero, raiden is playable im happy
but i would like to see kitana,mileena,reptile,ermac and lei mei the rest can be new characters

I used to be a fan of Kitana when she made her debut in MK 2. Then when they made UMK 3/Trilogy, she was still a fave. Then I got totally bored of her. Anyways, since Kitana didn't make the MKD cut(excluding MKA)...I think that she could or should return in MK8. The thing that they have to do is revise her a bit. She looks like a skank, especially in her facial features. That's what they have to fix. I'd say slap a mask back on her, she looks better anyways.

I really would like to see characters return in MK8 that didn't get much of a chance in previous MK games; Stryker for example.
Sure, we all want our beloved famous characters back, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Cage, ect... but what about the ones that never got too indepth? Kai, Fujin, Stryker, Mokap, are all great examples. I want more out of these characters before just tossing them away for good; fill out their stories more and give more worth to them as other then character fillers.

Dont take this as an attack, but I understood and agreed with your
post up until I saw the name mokap.....
It would be nice to see Kai and Fujin come back, have some work done
to ther stories, but you actually want to see washed up characters like
stryker back? (sorry I know you like him, I lilke ermac but I dont want to see him back) and lame joke characters like mokap?
I think that would ruin the next mk big time.

Riddle me this; we can presume Cage wont be in the next game, correct? And with Armageddon, Cage's role as comic relief was changed to main hero. The new MK will need a source of comic relief. I believe even a joke character from old would do nicely. And whom better then Mokap? He IS a friend of Cage's after all, it'd make sense.
And I don't get why Stryker is 'washed up', and I would like for you to actually give reasons on what makes hima washed up character, as from my view he is a rather amazing character.
Not trying to pick fights, mind you, just making good debates and conversation.

No prob VainZiler, I didnt take your post as a argument.
1. Mokap is just to damn stupid as a character, dont you think
bo rai cho would serve better as comic relief then mokap?
He at least is a decent character with story and such.
Now I dont mean put bo rai in, but something along those lines seems
to fit better then mokap, mokap is to much of a joke imo, they mise well
throw in bo bo the clown then.
and as for stryker, I didnt mean washed up as in useless, perhaps I used the wrong word. By washedup I mean, hes been around, hes been used, hes old news.
I have some favs I dont want to see come back, because I want a new MK start, not justlame sequels. I like stryker, just dont want him back.
same goes for smoke, ermac ect. I love em, just dont wanna see em in the new game.
Washed up was the wrong word to use.
But I agree with you, ther are characters, such as kai, fujin ect that could be thrown in and built on.

I agree that Bo rai Cho would be better suited; I was just throwing Mokap out there. Not only comic relief wise, but story wise he was the one that taught Lui Kang the moves that lead to Shang Tsung's defeat. So we could expect to see more students of his arise.
I would agree with you on Stryker, if it wasn't for the fact he's only been in two story lines, just like Kai and Fujin. Game wise, Stryker has been in more (MK3, UMK3, Trilogy, and Armageddon), but his story just like theirs, is left rather untouched.
With Styker, all we know is:
1. During Kahn's invasion, he was a riot control officer that got caught in the middle, and though he had no idea what he was up against, he fought on in order to protect the people.
2. After Kahn was pushed back into Outworld, Raiden bid him thanks for his efforts in fighting the invasion forces, though Stryker was still left confused on what had happened.
3. With time passed, he was promoted to be a SWAT Officer, with far more skills and training, he has also grown more of an understanding of his destiny as a chosen warrior, and continues to fight on for a just cause.
Compare that with say Fujin:
1. Fujin is the Wind God
2. Fujin once encountered the elder Sub-Zero, but lost to him in a fight
3. he wasn't heard from till later, when Shinnok began attacking Earthrealm.
4. He fought hard and made Raiden proud, eventually taking over Raidens position as the guardian of Earthrealm
5. He was pissed when he heard of Raidens change, and sought him out.
As you can see, with both characters, we get the bare minimum of their stories, with just enough to make us interested in them. I want to see more expanded on them.

I think a Great cast would include the original mortal kombat characters but definataly scorpion and sub zero but they have ruined liu kang 4 me he was almost like the hero of the game

Liu Kang is one that I pray does not return.
He is done, overdone. Time to put him to rest.
He is ruined for me too, I enjoyed him in MK1-2 but that was it.
I dont think having the original MK cast would be a good idea.
No more Kang and Cage period. and the Sonya Kano thing is old
and lame now.
But Raiden can come back
