I’ve been looking through some of the Mortal Kombat games and I’m not too sure which one would be the best choice to get. So which one do you guys think is the best one?

Mortal Kombat Trilogy (N64) has always been a favorite of mine. Each fighter (there are 28 fighters) has two fatalities, Brutality (long combo leading to explosion), Babality (turn the defeated fighter into a baby), Animality (turn into an animal and maul your opponent) and Friendship (peace offering).
Armageddon has every fighter in Mortal Kombat. You can also customize your own fighter, selecting fighting styles, weapon styles (and weapons), their appearence, etc.
Deception has a chess minigame and one similar to Tetris as well as a free-roaming adventure mode (you play as Shujinko). Armageddon has a similar adventure mode (as Taven). The downside is you must have a profile to do this.
When you make a profile, the game gives you a "Kode", or password. If you forget it, you're pretty much screwed and have to start over with a new profile.
This started with Deadly Alliance and is also in Deception, Unchained (which is more or less Deception for the PSP) and Armageddon.
Also in Deception and Deadly Alliance, when you're defeated you can finish yourself off.
Shaolin Monks is an adventure game where you can be either Liu Kang or Kung Lao. Two players can co-operate. There's a versus mode too, but until you unlock somebody, you only have Liu Kang and Kung Lao to choose from.
I hope this helps. _________________

Get Midway Arcade Treasures 2 that way you can get both Mortal Kombat 2 and 3 along with a number of other reasonably good games. You can find it in most places for peanuts in England. _________________ Yippie Ki Yay

You're right about the Konquest mode in Deception and Armageddon; however, the downside isn't only the fact that you have to have a profile in order to do it, but it's also the fact that there's a big difference in Deception's Konquest and Armageddon's. Deception's Konquest allows you to freely roam the realms of MK, but you must also have a huge amount of koins to unlock everything. In Armageddon, you have no opportunity to go back and get something you forgot. Also, you have to find relics throughout the Konquest. If you forget 1, you have no chance to go back and get it, and there are 60 of them. The advantage of getting all these relics is that you unlock everything in the Krypt (Armageddon). The disadvantage is that the koins are only used to unlock stuff for Kreate a Fighter mode. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality: 11 (Ultimate Fatality)

Right now, the downside of Armageddon's Konquest mode for me is the big snow monster that pounds the ground keeps kicking my butt, so I'M STUCK.
But that's for another forum...
As far as I know, Deadly Alliance's Konquest mode is more or less a fighting tutorial. I never finished it when I rented it. _________________
