Personally, I'd like to retrospect:
- Babalities, Friendships, and Signature Fatalities
- Konquest to assimilate as the Mortal Kombat: SM single-player/co-op
- Death traps to return
- Mini-games such as Test Your Sight/Might
As for new--never before seen--additions to the new game:
- Not-so-cheesy game types
- New boss characters
These are my suggestions so far; I will add more as I think of them.

I would love to see a couple signature fatalities for each
character PLUS MKA's combo fatalities but with character specific
enders added in, and obviously more moves all together. _________________

Great we agree on the same style arenas Satyricon and Tang Lung , I also LOVED the MK2 arenas. Imho those were the best arenas. They had that dark feeling to them. Just GREAT. For example I'm so glad they remade The Tower arena/Evil tower in MKA. That's my absolute favourite. Or wasteland... mmm
As for the signature fatality.. Yeah, it would be nice but 2 per char. plus some way of KaF to not get bored of the same old 2 fatalities. I like when a MK game gives you the chance to customize little things, like fatalities or fighters. Those little things count big time. . But that's kinda it.. I really want it to be a serious MK and that's why I think the babality/friendship should not be included in MK ever again. BUT, it would be great to see hara-kiris again.. but this time, more worked-on..
Sexsational , I agree with you on the Konquest/MKSM, but it's a lotta work and I really don't think they'll do it.
I dunno if I said it before, here or in other circumstances but I would love to see a not-so-beefed-up-boss. Shinnok was great (despite the stealmove routine). I would like to see someone evil and not necesarelly big.
Enough for this time... _________________ Cheers

I really liked that MKD brought back my favorite arenas, Portal, Dead Pool and The Courtyard. I love those arenas^_^. But I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have both individual and KAF fatalities. I'd say keep the individual only. 2-3 fatalities per character would be perfect. Hara-Kiri would be good too.

Or .... dunno if anyone posted this but I'm sure I'm not the first one to have this idea. Maybe instead of complicating the game with both custom fatalities and Kaf, which I suggested earlier or having the same 2 finishers.. it could be something like MK:SM where a character may have a certain fatality for a certain fighter... example : I am scorp and fight vs sub-zero... and if I perform a fatality against sub-zero in particular it does something specific.. and the next time, if I play vs, say Reptile... it does another fatality based on the opponent. Just a thought... I dunno.. it seemed right when I thought of it but now seems stupid... _________________ Cheers

I'm not sure, I just like the old-school ones. But that idea could work for bosses. It'd be an improvement if you could do Fatality on the bosses. Anyhow, who thinks that the uppercuts and the old sweeps should return? They're reinventing the whole thing, but I thought it'd be cool if they only kept the uppercuts and sweeps from the old games. What do you guys think?

2 Fatalities per character
Brutalities or Hara-Kiri's
Yes, I agree that the old school sweeps and uppercuts should return. The old school throwing system should return also. Not to forget the blocking as well. _________________

That'd be great. Having a completely new system but still keeping those things significant. Damn, we're anticipating quite a few stuff from aren't we? New game game. New movie, hope they all turn out excellent.

MK Annihilation? That one is awful but quite funny, like a comedy. Anyway I hope the new MK movie wont turn out to be like MKA. By the way the script for the new movie has to be approved by both Thershold(movie company) and Midway, so it might turn out pretty good, due to Midway having a voice in the making of the movie.

I was actually speaking about MKA as in Mortal kombat Armageddon. I hated the annihilation movie and thought it sucked real bad. I felt shame for everyone, but let's not get into it (Raiden : " it's my new look" )

The one thing I actually want to see is the MK team pull their weight. It seems like Armageddon was just a sloppy get together of every fighter they've ever had, it lost a lot of its MK quality. No more joke characters that try to be serious, no more ridiculous side games, and no more skipping chapters in the story. Just give us back MK with all the violence and martial arts atmosphere we remember from the classic games. Make the violence more intense, the fighters new and refreshing, the attacks new and revamp some of the older fighters. They wouldnt need to throw out half the old roster if they just made the effort to inject some life back into them with some proper bios and a bit more originality. My own opinion, but I buy MK for the fighting, not for the side games that just take up space on the game which could be used to add in better graphics or more fighters. Armageddon didnt really feel like it was Armageddon, it felt more like a bad high school reunion. They'd really want to compensate with MK 8 for the laziness thats been apparent from previous MK titles (such as only one third of the armageddon bios only being released) _________________

Altough I love MKarmageddon, I agree with u NoobSaibot5 on the mini-games part. Takes too much space. That space could have a much better use for the game itself by adding 2-3 more arenas or 2-3 more fighters or a set of fatalities. I wouldn't say MKA seemed like a high-school reunion. It lacked the MK feeling that mk2 had, but it's not that sloppy. And hey... Deception lacked that feeling and MKDA also. All 3 of them are great great MK games but do not give that player (I'll say it again) that ancient/martial art/asian/wasteland feeling that the first two had. I would like to defend MKA with the fact that beside the stupid mario kart thing, or lack of true mk feeling, it gave the player the chance to fight every character from every mk game. It's not such an easy job doing that (And I could of said that twice, and liked to have, but they were kinda lazy on the fatality system, and gave them all the KAF).
I don't care about KAK because that is ok untill you play online, and I prefer the standard fighters.
So... On-topic, my point is that, as noobsaibot5 said, I too would like to know that MK8 has that old mk1-2 feeling, but adds a new fighting system, new kombatants that have depth in storyline, moves, etc. , great graphics (and I am sure that the mk8 graphics will rock.. it's the only thing I'm sure of... Unreal Eng.3 can't go wrong in MK8)
The only thing that I'm afraid of is including high-tech/modern stuff to it, from fighters that resemble Master Chief (just an example) or sci-fi arenas. I hope they stick to the true mk core.
Enough.... _________________ Cheers

Sorry, therealbooboo. I thought you mean MKan, since I mentioned a new movie and all that.
Your list of returners is pretty good Sub0. Though I personally would like to see Kung Lao and Ermac return as well, but I doubt they will.
