this is a little different than the "What character you wish to be in mk8?" topic
who do you think will (90% sure) return based on their endings in Armageddon and maybe any gut feelings you may have
I think Kano will return but as a reptile-like character because his ending clearly says:
"Infused with godlike energy from Blaze, The process was rejuvenated; Kano was transformed into a Black Dragon-Human Hybrid"
Could we have a red Reptile clone with a laser shooting bionic eye? I hope so

No there's no way that will be the canon ending. Remember only one Kombatant could have been able to defeat Blaze, there for only one ending will be official. (that's my theory anyway) if there is any ending that will be the official one it will be Taven's because it lets th MK team have more freedom over the next game.

yes, i totally egree, if they chose any ending, probably they have to kill all the characters like in the mokap ending

My 90%s are the most common ones, ya know. Scorpion, SubZero, Rayden and Fujin. And some other I have small speculations over: Kitana, Noob, Smoke, Ermac,Kung Lao and Ermac.

i think also rain, but most probably, reptile will re-appear

Scorpion and Sub-Zero are the 2 obvious ones. Sub-Zero has NEVER been absent from an MK game. Yes, there are 2 different Sub-Zero's (The elder and the younger) but every MK game had at least one of them in it. Scorpion was only absent from one MK game, but was brought back in the update of the same game.
I want to say Reptile, Jax, Johnny Cage, and Stryker.
Out of them 4 I'd say Reptile has the best chance.
I liked Jax in MKDA and in MKA, so I'd like for him to return.
I always thought Johnny was kool, so seeing him return would be awesome.
I never had a problem with Stryker, but he's really good in MKA, so I'd like for him to return.

Yeah....and Sub-Zero has not missed one MK game period.
They can't really go with Taven's ending at all. It says Taven becomes a god, and then it says the power he released out to the other kombatants made them stronger than before. So, does this mean that no one died, or the ones that were still alive after Armageddon? Maybe it could mean that the kombatants that died during Armageddon, were revived because those select few or so were more respective to live.

My god, you're absolutely right! If Midway is going kill off most of the classic characters, then Taven's ending can't be canon either! Wow... that was logic I can't argue with!

Im thinking it's already penciled in that Sub Zero and Scorpion will be back in mk8. Ones im hoping and thinking they'll be back in would be Kitana,Ermac,Rain,Reptile and maybe Sektor and Cyrax.

That would be my ideal of returners. About the canon ending, maybe the MK team rushed MKA so they didn't have much time to think about contradicting MKA to MK8.

MK:TE was on a hand-held, not a console, so it doesn't count what so ever!
The only one's from the list of Kitana to Cyrax that should return are; Ermac and Reptile(human).

And if you think about it, Noob is basically the Elder Sub-Zero.
The thing about Noob that I think is that he can still use his ice moves.
It's just that he chooses not to. He's got kool new wraith powers.

Why Shouldn't kitana cyrax and sektor and last of all rain not return too.
I mean cyrax and sektor haven't been in all that many games so theres a good reason for them.
Same with rain. Sure kitana has been in alot of them but she's like an awesome female ninja fighter not saying that just because she's my favorite female fighter but she actually made mortal kombat more fun when they introduced her first in mortal kombat 2. Mileena would be also sweet if they brought her back i know Chibihana would like that alot hehe.
