Today has been a big fucking day for Mortal Kombat. I have a few things to get through so this might be a lenthy post.
Firstly, 6am MY TIME was the time the noob.com countdown was to finish via the american clock (as my page already said "countdown complete") I woke up at 7:30 however cause I was tired. I logged in to the MK Online chatroom as I had a feeling DArqueBishop would be in vegas for the event, he was. (TMK was invited to Las Vegas for this event but I just couldn't afford the cash to get there unfortunatly.)
Just before Midway gave there keynote speech noob.com was updated with an image of what looks like Scorpion with him grabbing an arm...the image was blury and it stated and the bottom in scrambled letters "EMBARGO LIFTS TOMMORROW" so I thought ok cool...we have to wait until then. I then checked on my youtube page and got a shock, the TotalMK youtube page had won an award for "most viewed director #94" I was like...woah sweet..I thought only people like AVGN got awards like that.
The day went on and TRMK.org posted some text that it was awesome but went into no details. now around 3pm my time, I came back to the chat and people were like "it cant be real" ect... an MK online staff member linked me to the image of Sub-Zero and Batman. I was shocked, I had heard all these rumors and thought they were bullshit, but now I am looking at a proper render, with WB and Midway legal mumbo jumbo all over it, there is no way that image is fake. It also makes a bit of sense with the noob.com stuff.
Now im all for exclusives but I really feel fucking cheated that Midway did this agian to not only TMK, but other MK sites like TRMK.org ect... Midway have been telling me I would be the first to know about new MK news and I havn't gotten anything from them and now I goto my youtube page and my award is upto #63 as most viewed directors today. It really pisses me off that I couldn't deliver SHIT for those loyal fans on youtube, and TMK.com I just sent an email to Midway about it, im sure it will just get pushed aside like usual but I'm really sorry that you guys could'nt see that exclusive here on TMK at the same time as MK Online. This image should of been put on noob.com for everyone to see that way there is no favortism. But I can tell you MK Online never posts fake shit, so that image is REAL.
I gotta admit I need time to think about this, I love MK but what the fuck do I know about DC comics...nothing. I don't like this idea of worlds coliding, I like my MK worlds how they are thank you.
Well I'm off to go see the KoRn concert now....It's a good way to end the day with lots of screaming.

I'm in the same boat with you on this, IgaNinja. I refuse to let myself believe that Ed Boon would cheapen the Mortal Kombat franchise by allowing a crossover game. it just doesn't mesh in any way at all, either. there's no fictional universe comparable to the MK universe that would in any way mingle well with its storylines, vast array of worlds, and dynamic characters.
so here's hoping this is a belated April Fool's joke, because in all honesty, if it's not, I'm definitely going to lose faith in Ed Boon's decision making power.

No, no, nooooooo! This will take MK on the same level as Street Fighter. Boon really has to be careful, I mean MK has done well recently but one mess up could leave the series hanging by a thread.

I just want to know WTF was Ed Boon thinking when he said the next mortal kombat will be darker, grittier? I can`t begin to describe my disgust for this announcement!!! Is there a petition to ban this crap yet? If not I`m all for it. Hmmm... which Mk character possess kryptonite ......and who is gonna catch the friggin Flash? I`m gonna get me a big bottle of Gin and I`ll see you guys on XBLA UMK3. Gamertag is M SumTingWong!!!

You know what TMK, don't turn this only on Midway, it is normal for them to go with the most popular site.
And here, we are partially to blame too (the creators of the other MK fan sites).
I believe that all of us put a really hard work in their sites.
And now, what happens.
This is small example but has happened to all of us:
On April 15. I published the title of the game, taken directly from the source.
And what happened, none of the others said a word about that. Not even like a rumor (while it actually wasn't). And I am pretty sure that most saw it. Not just that, but I had to actually defend the site in front of the fans, even here.
3 days later, MKO announced the news and almost every single one rushed and reported: MKO confirmed/announced that the title...
like it was something new, while it actually wasn't.

I will not get it. I hope this is not real.
For if it is, we are all watching the end of a great fighting series.
Thank boon, adding comic book characters to the MK world will
sure make is dark and gritty.

Wow what a fucking joke of a game that will be. Im definitely not buying it and wasting my money on such a shit ass mortal kombat vs stupid dc comics characters type of game. Midway has lost me on this one i thought they'd be smart enough to rebound from a not so great game in armaggedon but i guess i was wrong. Like i said in the other thread no one wants a --!#$@-- ass kind of game like that. I mean they wanted to go in the right direction with there next game and that way isn't the way to please people. This might make me not even wanna consider buying any future mortal kombat games if they keep making them as stupid vs games.

Thats what I was thinking. I got the LE pre-order 10 more days!! 
But as for VS games, I will not get any.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but didnt MKteam have 2 projects coming up?

MK's end has come, once you go into cross-over markets you lose your seriousness as a game series. If we don't buy the game then they won't think about making another one and go back to regular mk. We might also have to start considering that Boon's time at the helm should come to an end. Maybe what we need is new blood pumped into a (once again) dieing game franchise.
