Even though I think the idea of combining DC and MK is idiocy, I'm happy that the game looks really promising from the fight clip and that the real MK8 is postponed. I think whatever kinks that MK vs DC will face will be fixed in MK8, so it will be that much better.

Yeah, me too actually. If the MK Team admited that this was just a bullshit game dream from Booth and not the real MK8, Id have ignored this game and still held my breath for the real MK8 game.
But you know what? Too little too late. This is MK8. But due to the backlash, I bet theyre thinking "shit...we have to make another MK8 game."

I'm hoping that the real continuation of the story in form of a new game, meaning MK8 comes after this. I'd be real happy then. But I'm still looking forward to have new updates for this game. It's a only a few but very big things that leaves me disappointed and saddenend.

Unless there's two seperate Ed Boon interviews discussing this mater, no where in the interview does Boon say MK vs DC IS MK8. He said it was a way to introduce MK to the new gen consles, but he didn't say it was MK8.

That'd be like saying Shoalin Monks was really just a remake of Mortal Kombat 2; it's just a side game, nothing more.

Has this actually been confirmed to be an arcade fighter like previous MKs? Just listening to the interview it sounds like it could be more like MKSM or Konquest.

Midway is making MK vs DC as if it were MK8, however that won't be concrete until MK9.
If MK9 can continue, or incorporate MK vs DC into it's storyline, then MK vs DC will be considered canon and MK 8. If not MK vs DC will be discarded as a side game and MK9 will be the 'official' MK8.
All this is confusing, no? @_@
