Haven't you heard Rockstar are following trend the new game will be GTA vs Carebears. Lol. No seriously I don't want to get into a debate, all I will say is what I have always said, I wouldn't have been so bitterly disappointed if I was able to rip the Big Blue Boy Scouts freaking spine out. But its lots of niggling things that upset me about this game.

Sorry bud, but that is a WEAK example.
Pay mmo's are triple a mmos and you can tell.
Free mmo's are either a once pay mmo that went free due to many reasons.
or simply a free mmo is free, because, well, compared to a triple a mmo it sucks ass.
Thats all ther is to it, it has nothing to do with making money.
Most "free" mmos yes you can donate too, but also, you want to get
to new worlds? pay, you want to get the awesome rare armor? pay.
They just dont have a monthly pay, they just ask you to pay for extras.

I know Satyr, it's just good discussion. 
Indeed, you have me there, the example used of MMO's were weak, but it was all I could think of at the moment. And though I agree as well most free mmo's are crap (FlyFF comes to mind), there are some pretty good ones out there (Rapplez aint too bad). About the only monthly fee MMO I ever really got hooked on was my almost 5 year addiction to Ragnarok Online, and even then, I played private server.
But I still stand by the rest of the post, if game makers weren't interested in making money, they'd just hand out their games. But it's all a matter of if the game is worth the money you have to pay to have it.

Heck even the free games are made to make money in some way or another. But what I think most people mean is that they are putting money ahead of what people want (although I have never claimed that what I want is what the people want).

I agree with you, I have not been on the boat claiming MKvsDC is
some sellout, no, its boon doing what boon has wanted to do.
Let him, its his game.
I just want a real MK8, then one I have been waiting for.
I am sure we will all get it, but in another 3 years.
Thats why I am so mad, this VS game is making wait
3 more years give or take, for a real MK.
That sucks. I dont want to have to play other fighters.

i am shocked and appauled that Mortal Kombat will never be the same, i could of dealed with this game as a side game or spin off, but the fact that every other game after this one will be hideously a fuck you to all past game, according to boon, no more continuity, just likenesses of characters if you will.
