Ok, you may have seen this or not. A friend of mine posted it over at my boards today in the video game talk section.

Boon says whatnot too much. Plus if the only excuse for this game not being M is because DC characters have never been in an M rated game before, then that is just weak. There is always a time to see what it is like. If you read Batman: Dark Knight Returns he break Jokers neck after paralyzing him, if they are saying Batman wouldn't kill, they are wrong. _________________ Yippie Ki Yay

True. And I'm not sure DC fans would mind seeing the hardcore fatalities. It sounds like something the greedy company wants to exclude for little kids.

Am I the only one thinking that this is when they plan on bringing back Brutalities?
As for the interview, Boon has finally crushed me a bit on this game, his last words in the interview "it's all for the novelty of it" sorta killed my hopes a bit that this was a serious project. If that wasn't exactly what he meant, then he should hire one of his writers to write him scripts for his interviews from now on... _________________

Anyone think that the DC characters could have some cool fatalities> I mean take Superman (as much as I do dislike him) as an example, he has super strength, super breath, laser vision etc he could perform an epic fatality. _________________ Yippie Ki Yay

As much as I did NOT like Brutalities, for this game they would be alright.
Ther has to be some way to finish off your opponent.
Everyday the goes by tho, this game sounds more and more pathetic.
I felt the same way about the review as you. Perhaps someone should be telling Boon what to say so his words dont fuck up.
I mean, I loath the idea of this game, and each time he talks, I loath it
even more.
EDIT; I am well aware of the many mistakes in my post, piss off. _________________

I can only hope Ol' Ed here is telling the truth, cuz if the new fighting system doesn't save this game, then nothing will. _________________ YOU HAVE FOUND ME! NOW PROVE YOURSELF! -Reptile

I agree. The new fighting dynamics are this game's only hope for success. And to be honest, I think the DC fans will play major role in its sales. Man, if it atleast had fatalities, I wouldn't be so dissapointed buuuut...
We gotta let little kids play too you know? (not like kids dont get to play any of the M rated games released to begin with.)
sigh sigh sigh. >_< _________________ MORTAL KOMBAT!!!

Ironic how one of the games that lead to the ESRB's creation is now tip-toeing around it. And it's not illegal for a kid to play an M rated game, it's illegal for them to buy one. I hated it so much last year at 16 and I couldn't (legally) buy Shin Magami Tensei's Devil Summoner. Luckily, I look a lot older then my age, so I could get away with it. But we're drifting here.
And don't start bringing little kids in it though, it's not their fault, it's Boons, and Boons alone. He as well as DC decided to take out Fatalities. Still doesn't mean we're not getting mass brutality. _________________

DC is just scared of the sight of seeing their superheroes get ripped limb from limb in fountains of blood. I think it's all DC's fault this game won't have fatalities. Ed knew this was going to happen if he wanted to make a MK crossover, so he was prepared to just sit back and take it.
You know what I think would be an awesome MK crossover?
Mortal Kombat vs. Killer Instinct
KI was rated T, but it had blood and it had fatalities. (Well, they were called No mercies, but yeah, I'm still sure ya'll catch my drift.)
Midway teaming up with Rare to make this would be EPIC.
Anyways, back to the point.
In terms of the fighting systems of the MK games, the midway team has always done a great job. I'm sure this new fighting system will be great too. The FINISHING MOVES that I heard soooo much about might not be as kool as fatalities, but Ed did say they were going to make them as brutal as a T rated game can be. Maybe it won't disappoint... _________________ YOU HAVE FOUND ME! NOW PROVE YOURSELF! -Reptile

Will people please stop mentioning MK vs KI lol. Never ever gonna happen in the forseeable future. Characters owned by Nintendo. Game Owned by Rare. Rare owned by Microsoft. Unless Nintendo and Microsoft can come to some agreement it will never be made. _________________ Yippie Ki Yay

*nods* yup. Youre right. Not the kids fault. Just the greed and backdown of higher ups.
I hope youre right about the brutality factor. I remember doing Brutalities in trilogy and those felt just as good. I hope they pop something like those in the game. _________________ MORTAL KOMBAT!!!

Finally another person who loves Brutalities as well. But I can say it's safe to expect them to return for this game. Boon promises us some real brutal way to finish off an opponent that isn't a fatality, so that can only mean Brutalities without the explosion and four rib cages laying on the ground at the end. _________________
