Some KI finishers were good but some were pure crap. But none of them were really in the feel of MK. In my opinion. _________________ Yippie Ki Yay

Well, what about finishing moves like this?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqyf6sFRrRg&feature=related
Watch especially for the nasty move at :30
These sort of special moves, add some blood splatters and some nasty crunching, and I'm good . _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality string: 11, with both normal fighters and giant class fighters. Ultimate Fatality!

Well... There is ONE game for the PSP.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/psp/home/930217.html
Unfortunatly, the game I showed never made it to the USA, which is truthfully okay since it was FULL of bugs and if you didn't unlock the characters the right way, two characters would remain perminently locked. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality string: 11, with both normal fighters and giant class fighters. For the finishers (the ones that don't belong to DC characters anyway) I expect something like the original Eternal Champions. I mean the actual kills/finishers were brutal but a little more...Cartoony? All of the gory messes didn't come with the finishers until the Sega CD version. The T-rating should still be possible I think, because they can slip blood in, they just can't have organs and severed limbs flying all over the place with buckets of the red stuff pouring out of characters.
I personally wouldn't have a problem with finishers like that.

why you guys care so much about finishers when the most important thing like story is going to be butchered i can live with a fatalityless game, as i have played MK games and the fatalities where just extras to me, specially with Armaggedom.

It's only a side game, so the fact that the story is getting fucked with doesn't matter; plus, it's to be expected with a VS title.
And to most people, the fatalities were the only reason they got into MK in the first place. It was the main lure, if you will, that drove people to get it. And when it's been around since day 1, it's something that's expected. But, as a VS. game, it's expected things will be flopped around. _________________

I'm personally not worried about the finishers or the story.
MK universe is an unstable nexus anyway, a crossover was more then likely to happen.
However, since this is about finishing moves, yeah, limbs and organs can't go flying, but gallons of blood from any number of injuries is perfectly fine for T rating.
I mean... watch the following video and watch the finisher done at 0:20. Just imagine the guy in green pants as Liu Kang.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X0syvuSULE&feature=related
I know I'm "spamming" with these videos, but there are 2 reasons.
1: These are really good examples of what can be done for lethal but not gory or stupid finishers (Quan chi neck streach ring a bell? ), just imagine some more crunching and some blood splatters.
2: They are flashy enough and can really give a "rub in your face" type of victory against your opponent. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality string: 11, with both normal fighters and giant class fighters. Ultimate Fatality!

Daneasaur-The video you posted was great, actually. Throwing some nasty bone crunches and blood into finishers like that would work nicely.
I'm a bit ashamed of it, but I had a game similar to that on the purple lunch box (too bad it was based off of a horrible Saturday morning cartoon) and I always got loads of entertainment out of it. I remember one special move involving crawling around your opponent's body sort of like a spider and sticking a bomb to him then launching him into the sky just before it detonates (or something like that). Another finisher that I'm going to be pretty vague about also involved mannequin-esque creatures coming out of the ground and brutalizing the other player. Finishers like that (or the part of the video at :30, :20 in the most recent one you linked to) would be pretty satisfying.

Yeah, the implant bomber. That was the version on the Gamecube which had the somewhat limited, but still available character creation mode with three or four special finishing moves. I can post the one with the Tatami Puppet .
Hanging Bell Breaker:

I could totally see Shinnok doing this with a zombie assist or something...
Now, the special thing about this video is that you can just click on the "related videos" to see a slew of these sort of techniques.
Here's another nasty one that could easly pass as one for sektor or cyrax.

I cringe every time I see that one... _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality string: 11, with both normal fighters and giant class fighters. Ultimate Fatality!
