I have decided to review all the Mortal Kombat games and get those video reviews up on youtube. In this video I review UMK 3 for Genesis / Megadrive enjoy!
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=ri4sTuEK05s
*note* I say in the video that UMK3 SNES has full speech, that was a mistake that I also made in the Genesis review, MK3 SNES / Genesis had "name speech" but the UMK3 versions didn't have name speech, just announcer speech.
Regards,

Not bad TMK. I have UMK3 on SNES though. You says the Sega version is better? I didn't think there was much difference. _________________ Yippie Ki Yay

None of the 16 bit MK's are particularly good, but the Genesis versions all had gameplay more like the arcade. It was most apparent with UMK3. Things are tighter. In all the versions of UMK3 (arcade included) if someone falls and lands on the ground (after a popup or anti-air hit), there is a window to hit them right as they land where the hit counts as being on the ground and they cannot block it. For the arcade it's pretty tough to get. It's pretty tough on Genesis too. On SNES it gets pretty easy. That's part of the reason why you can just do simple kick combos infinitely in the SNES version.
Add in the weird corner properties, the removal of limits like kung lao's Spin requiring a hit between uses (so you can spin, repeat, for an easy inf), and you end up with an all around bad game. _________________ UltimateMK.com - The ULTIMATE Source of Kompetitive Mortal Kombat Information

You mean like when I played as Cyrax I could just do his grapple move, over and over again. Got it. _________________ Yippie Ki Yay
