I've been toying with the idea of getting this game for sometime now. I was wondering if anyone on here has played it? I just like to know what its like to play, how fun is it etc. I know it costs about 6.99-7.99 in England monthly so is it worth the cost. I played Star Wars Galaxies two week trial before and I found it extremely tedious so if all MMOs are like this I want to know. _________________ Yippie Ki Yay

Most MMO's are indeed tedious. I played Matrix online once before when a friend bought it and thought it was a bore fest. About the only MMO's I've ever really sat down and enjoyed were Ragnarok Online (for 6 years), World of Warcraft (For 2 months), and Kal Online (2 months). Kal was a free to play, Ragnarok and WoW obviously are fee orrinted, but I play private servers for those. _________________

if you're looking for an MMO to immerse yourself in, then I'd say go with WoW. there's what, over a bajillion people playing it, so obviously some people think it's fun.
I've got a 70 mage, and there's still SO much endgame content to go through. a lot of people say the game really begins at 70, and with the next expansion coming out sometime relatively soon (heh, maybe), there's gonna be even more things to discover.
as for Matrix Online, my husband played it, and he said that it's like a mediocre version of City of Heroes/Villains. I'd recommend playing CoH/V before trying Matrix Online. it's another good one, but doesn't require so much of your time for raiding like WoW will once you make max level.
I dunno. research the titles and see if you like what info is out there. there's no one MMO that's best for everyone, so it's really up to you to kinda dig and find what you like. =) _________________ Nikki: your friendly neighborhood moderator. ^_^

Thing that I didn't care for in WoW which is why I only played it for a short period is because of that annoying fact that the greatest thing to look forward to is all the level 70 quests, and the majority of those you still need to be in a raiding group in order to do. The PvP is an utter joke as the lack of original character builds is pathetic (I was litterally the only person I knew that played a DPS/Critical Warrior with a Two-Handed sword) _________________
