My faviorite charecter on this game is Scorpion and Raiden it is really cool how to fight Reptile he has Scorpions and Sub zero,s powers it is awesome. Did you know that one of the best ways to beat Goro is to use Scorpion and when he jumps hit him with the spear and uppercut him and when he isn,t jumpin do mainly jump kicks. Do not do leg sweeps becuase he will pick you up and hit you. The way to beat Shang Tsung is to always be on your toes and be careful it is agood game that shoud be concluded to my game infornment.

You know there are sections for each seperate game to talk in right?

On topic though, the genesis version was indeed better then then the SNES, but still, nothing beats the actual arcade machine... or the PS2 port of the arcade version.

Hehehe, yeah, the Genesis version was a lot better... especially, cause it was the only one I had! Very Happy
And the music was far better...I loved that game, damn...

I'll always have a softspot for this MK game as it was the one I grew up with so I can't be objective really but from what i've played it's always been the best version of MK1 with the exception of the arcade original.

I think that the Genesis had the best version of MK1 - UMK3 with the exception of arcade, of course. The music in them was just so much different than that of all the other versions, the sounds weren't the greatest but every game has flaws right? People loved the snes version of MK2 but i like the genesis version so much more. Probably the secrets won it over for me.

The SNES version was vastly superior to the Genesis/ Megadrive version. Ok, so it didn't sport the MK signature gore, which was a kick in the bollocks for us gore-lovers but it had better graphics, a suitable amount of buttons, and smoother gameplay. And that is what it all comes down to, the fact that the gameplay was better.
I own both versions of the game and I've spent an uncountable amount of hours on the SNES version, where I've only bothered playing the Genesis/ Megadrive version a hand full of times. It simply doesn't play as well or produce the same magnitude of entertainment as the SNES does.

Well to me it's better. I liked the feel of the genesis controller and didn't like the SNES controller, but i didn't like the 3 button idea.

That's cool, man. Each to their own and all. Personally though, I always thought that the Genesis/ Megadrive version looked and played like a half-assed MK.

Well it couldn't be any worse than the SNES version of MK1! Haha

Couldn't possibly disagree with you any more, dude. I really believe it is far worse than the SNES version.

Well you really didn't give me much reason to believe that the Genesis sucks and the SNES is superior. To me the sounds are more like annoying noises and the AI is cheap. But that's just me.

Do you really think the sounds in the Genesis/ Megadrive were better? I thought that the tunes sounded like dodgy ringtones.
