So this guy over at TRMK reports this from Wizard World Philly '08, saying Robin, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Black Canary, Hawkman, and Powergirl are all supposedly confirmed characters. (Links lead to their pages from wikipedia.)
I don't know how true that is. Somebody go to the link and give their opinion. In any case...who the hell would Robin correlate with? Does Mortal Kombat have a slightly annoying sidekick character?

Depends what they mean by Robin if it merely said Dick Grason it could have been interpreted as Robin when it could be Nightwing which would be pretty cool, hes like a young Batman. But I have a feeling its going to be Tim Drake. In MK we do have sort of side kicks such as Reptile to Shang Tsung, Shang Tsung to Shao Kahn and Smoke to Noob. But one that are really the side kick that gets in trouble and Batman has to bail out.

That's not the case either, It's been awhile since Batman had to bail him out, it was around where he first became Robin. Tim is actually quite good on his own, as appearnt in his own comic books.

Ahhhh! A DC fan!!! Only joking, welcome to TMK. Maybe Batman hasn't had to bail out Robin recently but most of us have decided that this game is going to go by generic standards and what more people will expect. More people will expect Robin to have to be bailed out by Batman than Robin that can stand up for himself.

...if they will include Robin, I'd hate to see a panzy with no self-defense, Kung never asked for Kang's help. With the seriousness of Sup and Bat, I see Robin being as hardcore as Midway can make him.
