Post subject: when charecters die |

| |
it's a simple question, when mk charecters die in the story how do they simply come back , scorpion doesn't die we know that , but for example jade in mk shaolin monks lui kang and kung lao killed her, after all we know that shaolin monks is a story between mk 2 and mk 3 , SO how she's back at ultimate mk and the rest of all the mk games after shaolin monks story ,

This is the run down of who dies and how they come back in the canon storyline:
Cyrax, Sektor, and Smoke - lost their souls when they became cyborgs. Cyrax was able to regain his with the help of the Special Forces. Sektor and Smoke however, still function w/o souls, as they are cyborg.
Frost - Was in suspended animation when she encased herself in ice, but she really wasn't dead
Jax, Kitana, Kung Lao, and Sonya - killed by Deadly Alliance, but resurrected by Onaga
Johnny Cage - Died twice. He was killed by Shao Kahn during Earthrealm's invasion during MK3, and later resurrected by Raiden. He was later killed by the Deadly Alliance, but resurrected again by Onaga.
Li Mei - Her soul was momentarily trapped in a mummy by the Deadly Alliance, but Bo' Rai Cho freed her.
Liu Kang - Shang Tsung broke his neck in battle, and his body is later controlled by Raiden. His soul roams free, but he is still technically dead.
Noob Saibot - killed by Scorpion, but reborn in the Netherealm
Onaga - defeated long ago, but was resurrected by Shujinko
Quan Chi - seemingly killed by Raiden's explosion, but whether he was resurrected or simply escaped the explosion is unknown
Raiden - sacrificed himself, but was reborn again in Earthrealm. He technically can't ever die because he's a god.
Sareena - was killed by Shinnok, but she was reborn in another plane of the Netherealm since she was already in Hell.
Scorpion - killed by the Elder Sub-Zero, but came back for vengeance. He's now undead, so he could be killed over and over again and always come back.
Shang Tsung - killed by Raiden, but because his soul is bound to Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung was brought back
Shao Kahn - seemingly killed by Deadly Alliance, but they actually killed a decoy and he didn't die.
Sheeva - killed by Shao Kahn, and brought back for unknown reasons.
Sindel - committed suicide, but resurrected by Shinnok
Any death that is depicted in Shaolin Monks, the TV shows, and the movies is not canon. If I missed anything, then let me know.

ummmmm.... i agree with CrazyFox 95% .. .... 
seeing as they die and simply come back is a bit stupid .. why do they kill them in the first place?  ............ BUT !!!! ... anything that Mortal Kombat do is okay with me .
i really preferd that if someone dies in mortal kombat ... he stays dead .
except for scorpion though ..

The reason they tend to kill people and bring them back is for story reasons. Either they are killed to move the story, or presumed to be killed to end the story. The only time you really know what happens, is when the following game comes out, in which people die again, but never for good.
