"No, Reptile's not in the game" - Ed Boon.
In the game convention 2008 in Leipzig, mk universe (another mk site), had an interview with Ed Boon where they talked mostly about mk vs DCu. It's after this question: "Do you include secret fighters?" (they gave the example of noob saibot and reptile), that Mr.Ed Boon says:"No, Reptile's not in the game". I don't know if he wasn't telling the truth but i don't see a reason for him to lie, if he wouldn't want to reveal reptile he could say "No Comments". Check the interview yourselves:

Pay attention to 6:28.
Other info from the interview:
-There will be 14-17 arenas
-2 Fatalities per character
-No death traps
-No fatality stances
-Special moves allowed during Free Fall Kombat
-Shang Tsung doesn't morph into other characters
-Others...

That's stupid that reptile's not going to be in the game. But at the same time not every character can be in the game as well. Another dumb thing is how they haven't gave shang tsung his morphing back. I mean this is the next gen consoles were talking about and having shang tsung change into the mk characters wouldn't be that hard for them to put back in the game. But oh well the game might still kick ass.

Well... that suprised me.
No, not the disclusion of a ninja based character, but the INCLUSION of 2 finishing moves per character.
For this title I'll call them finishing moves as DC heros don't kill, but they do "finish" the opponent.

The only way morphing would be possible is if MK vs DC or any MK game from there were PS3 exclusives. The ability to download files from the disk and install the straight to the HDD, would give the PS3 the means to use morphing. But of course, this will never happen.
And it's a shame to hear he wont be in it; the least they could do is have him as a secret character once again.

I serioulsy doubt they could have been bothered to put a morphing feature in there. As for Reptile not being in the game it is a shame since I was hoping all the originals would be in there.

I disagree highly. On a PS3, it's doable. Between having the massive amount of disc space to work in the code strings and commands, plus the ability to download to the HDD for instant (Or near instant) load for features, a morhping Shang Tsung is doable.
