I would have honestly rather have had Reptile, but Baraka is one of my other favourite characters, so I guess it's okay with me.
When you come to think about it, he could be considered the opposite to The Joker, I mean they're both experts with blades, both of them have a permanent grin and and they're both morbid in appearance.
I thought of this a while ago, so it could be plausible.

Yeah, Baraka is Joker's counterpart. I'm happy he's in the game, I'd rather him than Reptile. Baraka is a better choice because he's a more interesting character and with Scorpion, Sub Zero, Deathstroke, Kitana, and arguably even Batman himself, there's already enough ninja style characters.
If Reptile had a counterpart though It'd have to be Killer Croc. I could think of some better villians to put in but perhaps they'll be in a pack if there's DLC.
