The Metal Gear Solid movie is going to suck because they will do the movie all wrong. The storyline will not match the game, they'll leave out key details, and most of all: they'll change the ending. If you look at every movie based off a popular game, this movie falls exactly within. The only question that is racking my mind is which ending are they going to use? Will Meryl live or die? Who's doing the role of Solid Snake? Liquid Snake? Psycho Mantis? Honestly, I could see Schwartzenegger doing Vulcan Raven. He's the closest to Chuck Farley's voicing of him. The biggest role I see is Frank Jaeger, aka Gray Fox, the Cyborg Ninja. It will be quite a challenge to match him in both style and voice. My biggest disappointment is if they do not get a good actress to do Sniper Wolf, and if they forget key quotes. Who hasn't forgotten, "Well, I'm going to send you a loveletter my dear, do you know what that is? It's a bullet straight from my gun to your heart," and "I am neither enemy nor friend. I come back from a world where such words are meaningless."

Dude, c'mon. Look at the movies they've done: Doom, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, the Punisher. All movies based off video games, and all of them, including Annihilation, did not get good ratings. This movie alone does not have my vote as a must see film. A good cast, and storyline are crucial in order to break through the barriers set by video game based movies.

Sparkle is totally gagging for The Hobbit. It's the only movie that is almost guaranteed to be good. As for the rest... hah, they're going to be royal fuck-ups as per usual.

The problem with video game movies are that most companies sell the rights but don't have any involvement with them, therefore they get changed without their concent. But Hideo Kojima is taking an authority role in the making of the film so there is hope yet. I mean the games are pratically movies anyway, how could they mess it up?

Yes, Jabbawocky, that is true, but even with Hideo Kojima in the works with this game, there are still so many ways the movie could be screwed up. Wrong actors/actresses, altered storyline, key elements of the movies being cut out i.e. key quotes and the torture room scenes. Who hasn't forgotten Sniper Wolf's before Snake's and her final fight on the snowfield. There are unlimited possibilities to where the movie can be screwed up. Let's just hope that this is not the case.
