With midway troubles do you think we are ever going
to see another MK? (just mk, no dc)
If midway goes under, will somone pick up MK and Boon?
If midway hangs on, will they risk money on another MK???

well i think MK will never go down, because so many people have played the game and so many people have been inspired by it . MK will allways find a way to stay alive.

MK will always be around even if the MK Team happens to be bought by another company. As long as the company is great at making fighting games, then there should be no worries.
MK is the greatest fighter out there, and nothing else compares to it!
Yes indeed we were supposed to have our true MK8 game. However, it was trashed and we got MKvsDC instead. I too agree that the new MK game should be MK8, but I have a feeling that it's gonna be MK9.

What I heard was that MK8 was delayed, but you could be right. And I agree that MK will never die. I just hope Nintendo doesn't get the license if Midway shuts down, because they might make every MK game censored. They make good fighters, I just don't want censorship. Capcom would be awesome because they aren't afraid to make an M-Rated game (Resident Evil) and they make awesome fighters (Street Fighter/Marvel Vs. Capcom).

So, does this mean that MKA is MK8? Then what does that make MKDC?
Plus, I think that MK8 will be made because of fan demands. Plus, the story can't just end at armageddon (despite the name) because the story gors on, thanks to Taven's ending.

The licence isn't shifting anytime for the forseeable future. By the way it is a terrible misconception of Nintendo that just because they would get the MK series it would get censored, otherwise it would have been applied to the two previous MK games released on Nintendo consoles. People really need to get out of the mentality that Nintendo only push kids games.

I'm not saying Nintendo won't allow M-Rated games. But, to tell the truth, have you ever seen an M-Rated game that is made by Nintendo, no 3rd Parties. I don't know, maybe Nintendo could actually make their first M-Rated game. And, this is while thinking in the mind of people who think Midway will just give up and give the series to someone else. I still highly doubt that.

Midway has already made a small announcement that they are working on the next, MK only, game. While any news of this won't come out for some time, it has been stated that it's "in the works."
I, for one, was not a fan of MKDC despite its succees and I didn't like Armageddon that much. However, I'm sure when they get back to the true story they will win back anyone they lost and keep those that liked the last game even more enticed. Can't wait myself but... gonna have to.

Mate, MK9 has been announced, even if they did go in the red
another rich entity will step up and at the very least finance an
operation. MK is a massive franchise mate, it will not be dead for
a long time.

I think someone else will buy MK and the team. Hopefully a succesful company. Rockstar, Valve, Temco and Bioware come to mind. I would also like to see Tobias come back with the team. He gives MK that darkness that it needs. I have a feeling that the next MK will be what we've been waiting for.
