Digital has only two settings 0 and 1. (basically off and on). Whilst analougue has multiple channels. This is because analouge has to be tuned while digital finds everything on its own.

^ what?

It's like this:

Analogue signals are basically continuous signals which have a time varying quantity to it. For example, a electrical sine wave rolls smoothly from one state to another, and its step change in time is infinitely small. One could say analogue is a 'natural' representation of a particular signal you want to send over, say, a wire.

Digital signals comprise of strictly of high states and low states - that is, 'on' and 'off', or in computing terms, 1 and 0. What makes a digital signal meaningful is the combination of these 1s and 0s. The combination of these 1 and 0 states can represent codes, or actual numbers that computers can 'understand'. Codes and numbers gives us the flexibility of represent any data we want, including approximations of analogue signals. Furthermore, digital information is more immune to data loss, corruption and signal noise due to its strict high and low states representation, and also because we can make computers correct lost data to some extent.

Now. If your question was meant to be a part of your school homework, Mr Sparkle will see to it that you will be mutilated. Do your own fucking research. Wink
