Because MK3 came out before MKII. MKII came out pretty late and in Japan only. It's the only MK game on that list that is older but comes after a newer game...haha.

Then agian I could be wrong...Japan sometimes gets stuff way before us. Still I have a feeling that MK2 was late in the PSX life.
