Okay so today I decided that I would pre-order Resident Evil 5 for the X-box 360 on Amazon. It seemed reasonable for a pre-order priced at 30 GBP (43 USD) and was at 5 GBP (7 USD) cheaper than all other major retailers. However when logging on to do it today the price has now gone up to the basic price of this country 35 GBP (50USD) which wouldn't have bothered me too much until I saw the price of the PS3 version which was at the 30 GBP price! Why the hell is it when I want a game recently the PS3 version is cheaper, although this is the first game I know I will get this has happened to. When I wanted Saint's Row 2 is was cheaper for the PS3, when I wanted Army of Two is was cheaper for the PS3, Silent Hill Homecoming cheaper for the PS3. Heck if I had known this prior to getting my X Box I would have got a PS3, at least for the extra money I would have spent on the console I would have a blu ray DVD player.
Does anyone actually know why PS3 games are cheaper here? Is it specifically my country? Do Sony still hold an unfair partner ship with video game retailers (my local Gamestation and Game put more PS2 games, yes 2, out on the shelves than Nintendo Wii games). Anythings got to be better than my theory of all PS3 users are broke after buying the console so the third party games are released cheaper, lol.
No flaming the consoles either in this thread they are all accepted as great machines.
