Warner Bros. is part of the reason that the team wanted to go for a T rating in MK vs. DC and dull down the fatalities.
Are fatalities going to be dulled down in all subsequent games?

I don't understand how this could be a good thing. The way I see it, regardless of their plans (the MK team) of making a supposedly M rated MK game in the future (MUCH like how they promised the last title to have been darker and edgier which was totaly BS and also a bit late i think), Warner Bros is more than likely going to stick Superman's face all in it and definitely make it a more family oriented type of fighter or something similar to that of Street Fighter. A much less controversial game in other words.
Well... I loved MK because it was downright underground, kick ass, hell bent fighter that mommies damned to hell. And that pretty much died with MK2 imho. My dream was that Midway would get back into it and deliver something as low key but very dangersouly kick ass like how MK2 was when it first came out many years ago.
Regardless of all this nonsense, I am rather curious to see where WB takes MK. It just doesnt sound right. WB MK. *shrugs*
We'll see.

The T rating came from working with the DC Comics section of the company. I'm pretty sure that MK will retain it's M rating when doing seperate projects. This is good news in my eyes.

Nah the fact ill see the Corporate Elite's fucking WB Logo on something I love is fucking disgusting man. But Midway was too broke Im just hoping that MK will still be MK and have the gigantic set of balls it had back in the day.

I can imagine upcoming games being toned down in similar manner to MK Vs DCU. But, then again, maybe WB will recognize the vicious beast that MK is, and will want to restore it to it's former glory to retain the older fans.

Perhaps making a buck is why they should bring it back to it's violent origin. When people who don't really know shit about MK hear the words "Mortal Kombat" they automatically think of gore, fatality moves and the infomous words "Finish Him!!". These are the folk that they'll want to sell to. The folks who know of the game, but don't know the game. If WB are not aiming to please us, but instead rope in a bunch of new kids, then there is a good chance that bringing back the controversy is a good way of doing that.

Hey man yeah I agree it should be brought back more violent and back to its roots man it was hardcore. But thats not the only thing, they gotta have serious voice acting, serious dark tone, more character development and an awesome story written by talented writers. ^-^
PS Ill miss the Midway logo. I honestly dunno how I'm gona take seeing an MK game without it and WB instead! Depressing shit lol

Yeah, the voice acting has really got to step up if the game is going to be taken seriously be a new generation of gamers. Sometimes it's so bad, if feels like reading a really cheesy comic. I suppose now the WB is at the helm, they could afford to throw in a few bucks and get some high rated voice actors behind the MK characters. Look at the fantastic vioce acting in the Legacy Of Kain series. It's so deep and engrossing. Something like that would be great for MK.

just expect plenty more cash-in games. You just wait MK vs DC 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. Reptile vs. Rorschach... just you wait!
Until then, I can only assume(PRAY TO GOD) that the team AT LEAST finishes MK8 (And yes, I'm saying MK8 as REAL fans know that MK DC shouldn't count as MK8 despite what Boon says) with all the blood and gore that was promised. I mean, hey, the MK team is best known for keeping promises, right?..... sorry, couldn't hold a straight face there.
