Hello this topic is for those who want to share their views andstuff about the upcoming MK9.
Lets take a look at a few points.
-MK9 Codename 1: Attack of the Dogs
-MK9 Codename 2: Attack of the Nuns
-MK9 Babalities & Friendships & Animalities
It is common knowledge among MK fans that Ed "The Man!" Boon likes to change words around and stuff i.e. Noob Saibot (Boon Tobias), Noob.com (Boon.com) and MK1 Reptile hint: TIP EHT FO MOTTOB (BOTTOM OF THE PIT). I believe the title will be Attack of the Gods (Attack of the dogs)
Nuns worship a God (Attack of the Nuns).
Im even more convinced now because I twittered Ed and John Vogel. Ed wouldn't comment (but I sent him loads of questions so I beleive thats why lol) and Vogel's exact quote: ".....I totally can't comment on that. Sorry."
So sorry guys (Boon, Vogel) but Im just excited.
Other rumours are that because of the Over the top fatalities and people wanting another MK II style game I Babalities and Friendships WILL be in the game. Animalities are another possibility. Read Ed Boon's twitter (each comment and his reply) and you will see all these little hints etc.

Oh man, don't even get me started. Sorry, too late.
First and foremost, I would like to see Mortal Kombat return to arcades, even though there are only like 5 arcades in the world these days. Still, as improbable as it is, it would be neat.
Babalities and animalities might not be the way to go. I didn't like the originals in MK2/MK3, and I probably won't like the next-gen versions. I won't be to upset as long as every character has a couple of fatalities.
Things I would like to see:
Team Kombat:
I'm not referring to combat where, when one guy gets beaten, he 'splodes and the next guy jumps out from nowhere. I'm talking about balls to the walls Marvel vs. Capcom/King of Fighters/Tekken Tag team combat, where you play with teams of two or three characters, giving a handicap to an opponent who plays with less, and you always have the ability to swap the active team member in the middle of a round. If you team up certain characters that have connections in the storyline, it would be cool to see double-team fatalities for those characters in team fights.
Story rather than Arcade:
A lot of the plot for the last three games was kind of obscured as to what was going on in the grand scale of things and which characters were important or are/will be important in future games. A little obscurity can be good for the continuity of a franchise, but, instead of just an arcade mode ending revealing a little bit of the story for each character, I would like to see a story mode with maybe both cinematic prologues and endings that details the fighters' roles in the story of the game, and how the story changes once certain characters are defeated
A more in-depth Kreate-A-Fighter would be welcomed.
As far as the number of characters go, I prefer quality over quantity. Also, I like the occasional new character, but I don't like the concept of replacing mainstays like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Johnny Cage with new unknown characters like what happened in the original MK3.
As far as the dogs/nuns go, I have a hunch it has something to do with furies. I mentioned that already elsewhere on the board.

I would like to see friendships in it, babalities, yes (if not too much space was taken up). Not too sure of the animalities myself.
But on every thing else dude I totally agree with you man.
Iv never played MK in the arcade so that would be nice to say that I have. Get a taste of what the Golden Days were like y'no.
A tekken tag like mode would be kool and the team fatality idea is fucking genius dude Id love that!. A more indepth story mode like tekken/soul calibur would be badass too as Im also a big fan of these (but not as much as MK).
Iv said the same thing about the Kreat-A-Fatality system man.
It wud be cool if it was like the WWE games' create-a-finisher.
Y'no 1 to 3 different parts or something and you enter a button combination for it and distance. That would be awesome! John Vogel has tlod me that old kontent will be in the game ( well in a way lol). So im also looking forward to that...the old secret fights and codes and shit man.

I actually totally lost the faith in MK... So I can't really say much, I would want the old fighting system, not the million-kicks-while-in-the-air combo!... It's too silly now, I would really want things going back to what they were, something like MK3 or MK4, but that doesn't sell games, so that's about it for THAT idea...
It doesn't matter what we want, the new generations of gamers only want to see some really cool fighting graphics, and that's what they will get cause that's what sells games now... What a pity...

Hmmmmm I agree with your point about the air combos. I hate that when your both in the air and you slam someone down to the floor and "OH LOOK" they popped right back up to us lol
They are returning to their roots dude so you should at least enjoy this one over......MK VS DCU.

Mostly MK2, it had everything. Great music, nice sounds, cool characters with great powers. Nothing was missing, the backgrounds were great...
The combos were kinda off-the-topic when they appeared in MK3, so I stood by MK2. And more specifically the Sega Genesis version of it.

Nope. Haven't got a console since PSX! 
...Heheheh, I don't really need them as I don't really like the games they have on the new consoles, and, which is a real wonder, every good game now is also available for the PC, so... 
(Emulators work fantastically! )

Its supposed to be an arcade perfect version and I must say it is FANTASTIC!
We goin off topic here too.
Are you going to give MK9 a chance or are you not gonna play it man?

Second, I don't think I'll give MK9 a chance... Honestly.
Third, yes, I know about the MK2 online, that's what people were waiting for but I don't really crave for it...
And Fourth, there's an Arcade emulator too (MAME), so I know how it looks like, don't you worry!
