- Choose Your Destiny
- Brutalities
- Hidden Characters (i.e. MK2)
- Environmental Weapons (i.e. MK4)
- Weapon Drop n' Swap (i.e. MK4)
- Sindel's hair moves
- Animalities
- Video Endings
- Running
- Noob Saibot's cloud moves
- Traditional VS screen (not like the crap in MKArmageddon)

I could say the same for the game Unreal Tournament, if you've played it.
Unreal Tournament (1) was one of the greatest games ever (for me). The sequel came out and basically shat all over everything. And the newest part, UT3 is living crap...
So, what I'm basically saying is... I don't like the new MKs.

Well, to be honest, I was never a fan of shooting games, so the only Unreal game I played was Unreal Championship 2.
I've always liked the overall franchise of MK, though I will agree, everything beyond MK4 did not fully live up to the greatness of MK, not even MKDA.
All we have left is MK9. If it does not reflect the original standards of the franchise, we can kiss Mortal Kombat goodbye.

Wow, I think MK4 bathes in greatness.
It's completely revolutionary to the MK franchise. Many of the features that exist now started with that game. Video endings began with that game, as well as the Team, Survival, and Endurance Modes. Using weapons at will, stealing your opponet's weapons, bone breakers, and 3D (sorry dude), all began with this game.
Quan Chi started there! That's really the only reason I need for MK4 having greatness.

Yeah, I know that MK started it all, that's why I don't like it... 
Of course, I don't blame 'em not making any more sprite games (they are about 10x harder to make), but it's just not the same...
As I said before, the 3D MKs ARE good as games, but not as MKs...
If you ask me, MK ended with MKT. (MKM wasn't that bad, either)

I don't quite understand your animosity towards the 3D games.
No offense, but I think you're just being stubborn. You were so used to the classic MK games, you don't want to play anything else.
Well, times have changed, my friend. Even Street Fighter has a 3D game now. You have to move on.

Hahaha, it's not that. I DID play the 3D MK games, I wouldn't talk trash about them if I didn't. And I don't like them at all.
And I know that Street Fighter has gone 3D. It has gone 3D back in 1996 and I've played (and liked) every SF since...
Don't hate me but I think Capcom has it better than Midway at this point.

I still don't understand your animosity.
Why do you hate the 3D MK games so much? What is it about them - other than the fact that they're 3D - that causes you to dislike them?

Hahah, I thought that was what we were talking about all this time...
I don't like the controls, it's as if it isn't MK (I took time to get used to it, it still sucks for me).
I don't like the badly made new characters, the badly made OLD characters.
The story went over the top with the LiuKang-being-dead crap and Raiden suddenly becoming evil.
The games stopped focusing on the gameplay, it was practically the same from game to game, only with more characters, which also sucked...
Listen, I could do this whole day, but you'll just see me finding more and more ways to make MK sound bad cause I'm stubborn. But I really mean all that I've just said.

Ok, sure, Kai was a pretty nice character. Shinnok was cool too.
Reiko, I just don't like him at all.
Jarek sucks.
Tanya is ok. Fujin is also ok. Quan Chi is, indeed, the best new character (from MK4 and beyond).
Meat was nice as a joke in MK4, but later as a character sucked.
Kenshi was somehow ok...
I don't even care about the rest, they all suck. Blaze is a rip-off of Killer Instinct as I see it, Frost is a bloody female SubZero, and Nitara.. she's a vampire, right??... WHAT THE HELL IS A VAMPIRE DOING IN MK?!
I was a little skeptical when robots showed up, but vampires and zombies?? Shit, Ed, you really miss Tobias, don't you...

Why do they suck?
What's wrong with Havik? Bo' Rai Cho? Li Mei?
I myself think Bo' Rai Cho is a very powerful piece to the MK storyline, and one of the few characters that doesn't ruin it. His story is a good one. Is it because he's an alcoholic? Is that why you don't like him?
