Hahaha, dude, I'm not that shallow, I don't care about that kind of things in a video game...
I don't like those characters cause they aren't as a good of an addition to MK as, example, Sonya, Jax, Shang Tsung, Raiden, even Shinnok and Quan Chi are...
The new characters just don't have 'IT' that the klassik MK characters had...
Honestly, you asked me what I think about it. That's what I think about it.

I understand, I will admit that rosters of new characters have gotten less and less interesting. I just wanted to know why you hated so many of them.

Oh yes, the characters in the first three games were amazing.
MK4 wasn't bad either. The only character that really sucked was Reiko, because there was absolutely no story behind him. Even Jarek had something.
MKDA was pretty decent. I know Hsu Hao was pretty much crap, but the others were cool. Mavado was very well constructed, as were Bo' Rai Cho, Moloch, and Kenshi. I think Nitara's role was meant to show us just how large the MK universe really is, and just how much damage the rulers of Outworld had done to the universe.
Okay, MKD could've been better, but Havik, Dairou, and Darrius were pretty awesome, to me.
Taven... eh, I just liked him because he was an extreme asshole.

Yeah, I don't like Reiko, cause when a guy with No Past appears in a game, you just know it's gonna suck... Sometimes it's the whole game that sucks, and sometimes just the character. Luckily this time it's just the character.
But I'm not sure if Reiko was the only one without a story... Crap, I can't remember who it was, but I know there was one more guy.
And I don't like any of the new characters, from MKDA and forth, cause they don't 'get to me'... If you know what I mean.
I just won't like them EVER. And that IS stubbornness.

Then you might as well not even call yourself a MK fan.
A true fan would remain loyal no matter what, just as I have, despite Tobias' departure, and the mess Boon and the rest of the MKTeam has conjured up since.
All I ask is that you give it another chance, at least with some of them.
Okay, Hsu Hao, Reiko, and Kobra are all fucking losers. Let's not worry about them. But the rest? It's worth a try. Somebody's gonna be in the next MK game, and we're gonna have to put up with them. We might as well make the best of it now, right?

And, yes, I'm not a true MK fan, I never was. I just love the classics.
And I'll try to give the characters the chance...
I actually wouldn't "not-like" them that much if the fighting mechanics were better in the newer games.
Which brings me to another point...
I don't like the fighting in the newer MK games. It started looking like Tekken, with the combos and other very similar stuff...
I like Tekken, but not as a MK game. (very off-topic, TMK is gonna kill me...)

TMK can cool his jets, no harm is being done.
To be honest, the MKDA+ fighting engine in MK was quite unique. Never have I seen a character have not one fighting style, but two, and a personal weapon he/she can wield at will.
What I didn't like was the fact that the styles changed from game to game, and there was never a particular reason for why the characters fought with those particular styles.
In all honesty, though, I'd prefer the engine of the old MK games, where each character had his/her own original fighting style. I like Sindel's the most.

I have to agree with Riyakou, I loved MKDA.
The inclusion of Test Your Might was awesome.
